>> a woman jogging on a popular east bay trail was ambushed and sexually assaulted. it is the fourth attack in three years. >> so tonight police are looking for a violent sexual predator. good evening. i'm dan ashley. >> i'm ama daetz. it happened around the arroyo trail in livermore in broad daylight. >>al wren wong is live in -- alan wang is live in livermore with the latest. alan? >> ama and dan it hpped along this trail that sees a lot of traffic from employees at the lawrence livermore national labs about five minutes away. what is alarming is it happened during a very busy time of day. it was around this time yesterday just before 6:00 p.m. when a scruffy looking man ambushed and sexually assaulted a jogger. it happened on the arroyo trail. >> the suspect came at her from behind and was able to grab her. >> i i am really disturbed this happened in broad daylight at a time frame when

to death says his client's family repeatedly tried to get him psychological help. 18-year-old william shultz had his first appearance in a martinez courtroom. he admitted to killing 9-year-old jordan in discovery bay. the victim was the younger brother of shultz's best friend. an attorney tells the bay area news group they were unaware of any possible mental health issues when they invited shultz to sleep over the night of the murder. shots feared at police two arrested and a massive man hunt going on for a third. it all started in fremont but the chase stretched across the bay to menlo park and east palo alto. tiffany wilson is live in menlo park to fight with the late details. >> dan, the major search efforts have wrapped up, but the crime spree kept officers busy for hours and it all started at 5:00 in fremont. police say three suspects fired shots during a home invasion robbery along fremont boulevard. neighbors describe the get

away car and it was quickly picked up by officers who chased the suspect across the dunbar ton bridge. 5:30, menlo park. they ditched the car and started running. one suspect turned around and fired. >> no officers shot back and there were no injuries to officers. >> however one bullet hit a police cruiser. officers show the scene as officers pursued the suspects through the neighborhood. >> at this point there are two suspects in custody. >> menlo park police recovered two weapons. then they set up a perimeter near facebook's campus hoping to locate the third man. locals out for an evening walk were taken by surprise. 8:00 p.m., east palo alto. sky 7 was overhead as officers entered a home on purdue avenue looking for the third suspect. tactile vehicles and heavily armed police lined the streets. the house has been vacant for years and no one was inside.

at this hour the third suspect remains at large. tiffany wilson abc7 news. new details, san francisco police made an arrest of a muni passenger with injuries. police also released this peck tour of the -- peck tour of the gun used in a shooting. they made the arrest after viewing muni surveillance video. quick police work reunited a distraught father with his baby after someone hijacked a car with the girl inside. her father was parked in the tenderloin when someone kicked his car. he dwot out of the car and another man jumped in and sped away. an officer spotted the scion minutes later and arrested the suspect. it is mostly peaceful in baltimore just days after protests turned violent. a fight broke out shortly before the 10:00 p.m. curfew. isit was quickly broken up. by 10:30 only a few

protesters remained. officers are still on scene. the protests are in reaction to the death of freddie gray. they say a prisoner sharing the transport van with gray could hear gray banging against the walls of the vehicle and he believed gray was trying to hurt himself. the two were separated by a partition though and it is not clear if any evidence actually backs up the prisoner's story. dramatic video of the disaster in nepal we want to show you. it shows the moment of the 7.8 earthquake struck on saturday from a surveillance camera in kathmandu. you can see the area bustling with people and cars and then as the shaking gets worse watch the right side of your screen, a building crashes into the street. it missed a man pushing a cart by an inch. he survived. the death toll in nepal is now more than 5100 people. so many people want to support the relief and the recovery efforts in nepal, find out how you can help through the give where you live effort at

abc7news.com. an ipad app problem lead to the delay of 70 american airlines flights. an app they rely on for mapping routes crashed causing quite the inconvenience for passengers. katie is live at sfo to explain what happened. katie? >> ama, back in the good old days pilots carried around the actual maps and other paperwork. it was stuff like this. american airlines have upgraded to the ipad which is more modern and less reliable. a map app crashed the ipad. it means dozens of flights could not take off. >> they wanted to make sure they had the correct information. there were delays and inconveniences, but not a threat or a problem as far as the flight safety. >> it is supposed to make things more convenient. the pilots can get updated maps more easily and the technology literally lightens their load.
