you hear how their mother almost didn't make it home it feels even more precious. >> [ inaudible ] >> we all know what happened. the last week has been interest ing. good to be home. >> she was with six climbers and two guys when the earthquake hit in nepal and the avalanche came down. this video taken by another climber shows what it was like when it hit. [ inaudible ] >> i don't know why key are here but i am very happy. >> she said it will stake time to process her emotions but she is clear on the fact that it is a miracle she is here. >> i don't i don't why we survived i have no idea. >> she and her husband are serious climbers. with four kids, someone has to stay home while the other goes. he did not hear she was okay until 2 1/2 gut wrenching hours after the earthquake hit.

million five-year plan to make the city streets safer for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians. it is called vision zero and has slowed down spiders by narrowing the wide streets and making crosswalks more visible, and improving lighting across the city. san francisco launched a vision zero initiative last year and that aims to reduce fatalities to zero by the year 2024. >> a heartbroken man has his late wife's earns back after quick work by police. officers located the car with his wife's ashes inside. she died of cancer in january. the new mexico man talked to abc7 on friday. he was in the richmond district in san francisco driving his wife's ashes to oregon to scatter them in the ocean and someone goal his blue honda civic. police say this morning everything else was stolen from the car but for the ashes. they were still there. police are in the process of running them to the map.

the f.b.i. learned more on the background of the two dead suspects. >> the two suspects lived together in arizona. investigators say they traveled all the way to texas to come to this event. they are now looking into a motive. and if they have lynches -- links to terrorism. >> two gun men were killed in an attack in garland, texas. the f.b.i. identified one as elton simpson. he tweeted before the shooting with # texasattack. there were messages sympathetic to isis in the same account. the f.b.i. said the two tried to storm a controversial cartoon contest which encourages people to drop pictures of the prophet mohammed. a group called american freedom against initiative held the event. the suspects drove up and opened fire. >> both had assault rifles.

they came around the back of the car and started shooting at the police car. >> a traffic cop fired back and shot them dead. >> under the fire that he was put under he did a very good job. probably saved lives. >> 200 frightened people were evacuated. >> we heard a bunch of shots. >> security guard bruce joiner was shot in the electric and released from the hospital. the gathering was being closely watched. organizers said $10,000 for extra security. >> a bomb squad checked the suspect car in case it was rigged with explosives but it turned up clear. >> controversial politician was a key note speaker and police are looking into whether that is one of the reasons why the suspects wanted to come. the motive, however, is still under investigation.

napa the same as we were 24 hours ago. the rest of us were one to six degrees cooler. if you head out right now most of us are still stuck in the 50s until you get to palo alto and los gatos at 61 and 60 and fairly at 60 and concord is 62 and livermore is 61 and antioch is 64. this is how it look down in san jose this morning, you can see the clouds stubborn and cool breeze along with the slow sunshine is why we are below average today. dry air comes in tonight and maybe opens up the clouds so it will be cooler tenth and the late showers will still look like they are to the northeast of us and, in fact here is a look at our temperatures toll, anywhere from two to eight degrees below average. we are in the 60s and 70's and we could make it to 70, in places like san jose morgan hill gilroy, los gatos and were else in the mid-to-upper 60s in the south bay and a lot mid-60s along the peninsula, to possibly, 68 in los altos and the cool spot is 61.

stubborn clouds along the coast in the mid-50s and mid-to-upper 50s through the north bay and we will have low 60s to mid-60s for most of our east bay shoreline, fremont and castro valley could make it to 67 and upper 60s in san ramon valley and low-to-mid 70s for the rest of the neighborhoods. dress warmly at at&t park at 54 at 7:15 and it will be breezy. tonight the lows are mid-40s to low 50s for most of us and that is three or four degrees cooler than this morning approach the cold front that has induced the beach sea breeze and the low is going to hang around for the better part of the week and keep the onshore flow through wednesday. then you can see by thursday it and right on top of us and the rain stays to the north and as we head to friday, our best chance of any showers is in the sierra. in fact they are having thunderstorms this afternoon. as far as our temperatures we may drop a couple of degrees especially inland too when and thursday and we could
