boomers out there are getting an early wake-up call in the central valley to the western slope and all the way into lake tahoe this morning. that is what is going to back a few thunderstorms our way this afternoon. until then look how calm and beautiful our exploritorium weather window is this morning. we use that as a backdrop to talk about scattered showers today and tomorrow and thunder is possible and calmer and warmer for mother's day and when we get beyond that it will be calm and quiet next week. as far as temperatures today they will look a lot like yesterday. upper 60s to low 70s through most of the south bay and los gatos at 73. one of the areas that has a better chance for the showers and storms. partly cloudy on the peninsula. a stray shower may work its way to you. a lesser chan as you head to the north. it is cooler at 63 in millbrae. upper 50s to 60's near the coast. through the north bay, the least likely area to see storms today until you get to napa at 75.

we are in the low-to-mid 70s in most neighbors. along the east bay shore, good bet we. see scattered showers and storms upper 60 to about 70 degrees and the best bet for showers and storms inland east bay with low-to-mid 70s until brentwood at 77 degrees the tomorrow, it tapers as we lose the energy of the sun a stray shower is possible, most of us wake up milder tomorrow and upper 40s to mid-50s. the low pressure is backing its way toward us as we talked about and this is an unstable air mass because it is a cold core and you get warm air under it so it is buoyant and unstable. at 7:00 in the morning, pretty quiet. by noon you can already see the scatter showers developing at the higher elevations in the east bay and south bay rotating to the southwest through the south bay through the afternoon hours. overnight, looking pretty quiet and tomorrow we will have a chance again in the afternoon hours in the north bay and along the higher elevations of the east bay and the south bay but
