now. >> he worked at pixar as a production assistant. the family was in good health and has plenty of food and water. >> it's not snowing where the crews are searching. but the snow was falling earlier. it's closed tioga road and glacier point road in yosemite park. the winds knocked down power lines near highway 116 outside petaluma. crews were on the scene to repair the lines and get the power back on for more than a dozen customers who were without for a time. most of the power has been restored. now, let's take a live look from the mount cam camera. a few clouds in the distance. dark clouds on the screen there. taking a look at the camera, also shows some dark clouds in the distance hanging low and covering a part of the area around the bay bridge. >> we were in san jose earlier today where a light steady rain and wet roads slowed down drivers on saratoga avenue near

prospect road. a lot of windshield wipers getting a springtime workout. the rain from up in the air over santa clara county. the raindrops covering the lens on sky 7 hd this morning between san jose and morgan hill. that's a good shot. >> a mix of everything today. meteorologist sandy patel is here. >> a few showers on live doppler 7 hd. at this hour, they're mostly concentrated to the south bay and the monterrey bay. i'm going to take you closer here and as we take a look at a few of the returns showing up around the evergreen area quimby road san philippe road. taking you down to street level we do have hef dwreravier returns. some returns are moderate in intensity. moss landing seeing heavier showers. as i loop this here you'll see where the showers are coming from. not in the typical fashion.

a swirling mass of something which looked like a funnel cloud forming north of saah baas poelt near lake sonoma. he was startled. >> i was wordy about my greenhouse blowing over. there was wind all kind of directions. >> luckily, there was no damage at david's place or anywhere else in the city according to police. bob jones took notice too. >> scary to think about it. because i have been in tornadoes. >> the national weather service says despite the ominous appearance, it wasn't a funnel cloud. instead, a downdraft of precipitation known as verga. david says it was still impressive whatever it was. >> i've never been around funnel clouds that you can tell me right now that it was definitely to be -- to consider. >> a strange weather day around here for sure. cornell bernard abc 7 news. police are looking for more possible victims following two sexual assaults in san rafael. >> they happened on the san

francisco bay trail on shoreline parkway. both victims were pushing their babies in a stroller along the path when a man approached said he would hurt the child then assaulted the women. >> police only learned about the attacks last week after the women were told a -- had told a health care worker to let them know what happened. meantime you're about to see a man who is not a sexual o. he -- they're worried he'll try it again. the man talks his way inside 139-year-old girl's home. -- 13-year-old girl's home. david louie is live in west san jose with the surveillance video. david, it's sickening truly. >> reporter: dan the 13-year-old was able to get the attacker to stop. as you'll see in this video. she was surprised to see how well-dressed he was. her parents and san jose police are hoping that you can help to identify who the suspect is so watch closely. >> the surveillance video shows the suspect walking behind the

13-year-old girl. he approaches her only after she unlocks the door of her home. at first he asks her name and age. then he started asking what the girl said when inappropriate questions. that's when she tried to get away from him. we're not identifying her or showing her face. >> i tried to slam the door on him but i couldn't. he gets inside then he tries to grab me. so i push him back. i try to get him off of me and then i slam my hand into his face and that's when he decided to git off of me. >> the middle school student's mother released the video because she wants the man caught. she's angry. >> very angry. >> very sick person. >> it's only -- she's only 13 years old. how can you do such thing to a child? it's just very sick. >> san jose police describe the suspect as about 30 years old white, medium height thin with a beard.

he may be riding a light blue 10-speed bike. these are surveillance videos taken at a swand witch shop minutes before he attacked another girl. he attempted to attack a 28-year-old woman on saratoga avenue a month earlier. this happened during the noon hour. the attack on the 13-year-old happened about 4:00 p.m. >> i'm really, really scared and really want him caught before something else happens. >> the student says she's afraid now to go outside by herself. in san jose david louie abc 7 news. disgusting. san jose police are asking everyone to use social media to find this guy in the video. we've posted the story on abc 7 news.com and our facebook page as well. we're just getting this video into our newsroom. a 71-year-old woman accidentally drove her car into a san mateo building this afternoon. authorities say she hit the gas instead of the brakes and she was trying to park.

the san francisco district attorney george getz is expanding his investigation into the actions of 14 police officers accused of misconduct. he's called in three retired judges to review arrests made by the officers linked to racist and homophobic text messages. >> the judges from outside san francisco -- gas cone says some cases have been dismissed and another 60 to 70 have been identified as problematic. a landscaping crew made a grim discovery this morning. they uncovered a body in morgan hill. that body was found in a field near cochran circle and the road just before 10:00. sky 7 hd was over the scene during that investigation. police say the body had been there for some time. it appears to be that of an adult male. the cause of death is not yet determined. >> a man who seriously injured a giants fan in a beating outside dodgers stadium will spend three

more years in prison. he was sentenced to six years on unrelated weapons charges. the sentence will take effect immediately. he will serve half of it finishing his eight-year term for beating bryan stow. in an effort to get a lighter sentence, sanchez gave a letter of apology to the judge for the 2011 attack. writing, unfortunately, mr. stow got hurt. and i extend my -- i pray the court to show mercy. suing the oil companies from dumping waste into the soil to get them to groundwater in the central valley. state regulators acknowledge they give oil companies permits to dump the waste. >> the state's plan for stopping the contamination is moving too slowly. starting sunday, that bad smelling and tasting water in the east bay coming back. the water district is changing the source of the drinking water. it's trying to stretch supplies from the reservoir which is

below average. some of it must be set aside to prevent famine. there's morrowe -- it's unfortunately a necessity. >> it's not ideal. but it's related to the drought. the alternative would be not having enough water next year or the following year if this continues. the water also tasted funny in march. but officials are planning to change over more slowly this time hoping to give people more time to adjust to it. this map shows the areas affected from richmond to the north, south to oakland and castro valley and east to walnut creek. >> coffee giant starbucks will no longer get bottled water from the valley. the company has a right to tap into a nearby spring. they donate 5 cents from each -- the company is still looking for a new water source. shares in the review site yelp reported the company is exploring a sale. stock closed at $47 up 23%.

a disappointing first quarter report had sent the stock plummeting last week. it would likely sell more than $3 billion. mcdonald's is revamping the menu. the biggest burger chain says a new breakfast bowl will include kale as an ingredient. for now, it's only available in southern california. it's trending down the menu to focus on fresher and less processed food. bay area residents asked for help after losing housing. they accused the man of taking their money and leaving them out on the street. >> he's capitalizing on people in crisis. people who can't fend for themselves. >> dan noyes investigates the man in charge and sits down with him to get his response to these allegations tonight on abc 7 news at 11:00. b.a.r.t. passengers this weekend, there will be no service between the fruit vail and coliseum stations between saturday and sunday. a project will close the tracks

showers on live doppler 7 hd. let's take a look at them. at this hour, they're really focused down towards the south bay and the monterrey bay. look what's showing up in the east bay as well. taking you down to street level here we're seeing returns right around san jose central road evergreen, edenville area. up around the antioch bethel island discovery bay. remember the moisture is coming in from the east. don't be surprised if you run into wet roadways. moderate returns around watsonville and around hollister. >> state route 88 and 4 up to the tahoe area just keep that in mind. it is snowing as you can see all the way to yosemite village. here's a picture i want to share with you sent to us. it looked like a funnel cloud. let me explain what's going on. verga. precipitation as it's falling is evaporating. as it descends you get a
