and saw and heard? >> i am saying in a hotel right downtown in katmandu and i was writing a story i am here on assignment for and i felt a little bit of a shake and i got shuttled to the big open patio area at the hotel complex and there was a rough rumble that lasted 30 seconds and this was a slow rocking that kept going for another 40 seconds and it was erie because the birds took off immediately and a bunch of birds were nesting in this neighborhood chirping and making their beautiful sound and they took off. that was the erie -- >> are you seeing more collapses as a result of today's earthquake or perhaps the

buildings are already damaged in the previous earthquake three weeks ago? >> yes, i have not personally seen that because of the direct i am in. there have been buildings that have collapsed here in nepal. they are going through and tagging the buildings and in the bay area we know of the tags the red tag is not safe and the criminal low tag is "iffy," and the green is oh okay," a few of red tagged buildings collapsed over. we know there are some people who were killed here in katmandu and the numbers here so far tally about 32 people killed nationwide and mostly focused in two districts, rural districts that got hit hard by the earthquake a couple weeks ago and the injuries are astounding, still dialing up with the count now at 981 people injured today.

>> sergio i know folks are shell shocked from the previous earthquake. how are they reacting? >> this was panic i saw, panic downtown. this is a very densely populated portion of the city, the buildings, a lost masonry buildings are four or five stories high and the streets are narrow and this is where there is a lot of tourist shopping and a lot of foot traffic in this particular area. there were people that were jogging or running trying to run out of the street or those streets that are very narrow. they were panicked. there were people would were crying. it is still fresh on their minds what happened a few weeks ago and i shot video of people staring up, checking to see not buildings are waving or if they will tumble over. it was unnerving.

>> sergio we understand the story you went over to nepal to cover could be evolving. what group did you go over with and their mission? >> i came up here with a group called motherland nepal based in the bay area. they have been collecting money since the earthquake a couple of weeks ago the 7.9 earthquake and they were able to sponsor a group, a community and disaster response team so they could come to the rural areas that did not get a lot of attention since the huge earthquake. this is a team of medical technicians, e.m.t.s so they could go to a community in the himalayas, the first medical attention the people had seen since the earthquake two weeks ago. i just came down to start editing the story and putting so i am separate from the team. they are in a district that

other news now california's drought is about to hit a million south bay water customers where it hurts for the first time in 20 years the biggest water company is instituting mandatory rationing. our reporter is in san jose to tell us more. >> if you live in the south bay and have not felt the effect of the drought the move by the san jose water company is going to have an impact on you and possibly your wallet. according to our media partner the water than the 20 percent asked for by the state. all business owners in san jose area are give an monthly water allocation based on the average amount used in 2013 by all customers and they have to cut water use by 30 percent from that number. a spokesman for the san jose water company did not give details about what kind of penalties the customers pay if
