well good tuesday norng you. we begin with the break news overnight. a date is being proposed for the release of thousands of hillary clinton's e-mails. >> the state department intending to make those public but not until next year as team of 12 works full-time, around the clock, to review them. >> reporter: good morning, t.j. good morning, reena. it emerged overnight that 55,000 pages of e-mails from hillary clinton from her time as secretary of state will be released starting on january 15th of next year. that date being made public in court documents by vice news. the review is a slow process due to the large number of e-mails. those e-mails have been the focus of controversy since

before she declared her presidential run when it was revealed she used a private and not a government e-mail address. she tweeted in early march that she wanted the e-mails released as soon as possible and now it looks like the first batch will be released just two weeks before the iowa caucuses. now, former secretary of clinton's was scheduled to testify on capitol hill this week about the deadly attack on the u.s. consulate in benghazi and about the e-mails. but that testimony has been delayed. reena? t.j.? >> all right. bazi kanani with the latest. thank you so much. federal investigators looking into the amtrak disaster are dismissing reports that gunshots may have damaged the windshield. >> they're focusing again on excessive speed as service resumed yesterday for the first time in nearly a week. abc's david kerley was on board. >> reporter: less than seven days after the deadly

derailment, amtrak trains rolled through philadelphia. you're back on the train? >> yes. >> reporter: any concerns? >> no. >> reporter: we ride through the curve where the derailment happened. why was the train travel something fast? the fbi inspected the engine with the partially shattered windshield sand says it was not hit by a bullet. the ntsb will determine iffing in else hit the train. there are no radio recordings supporting the story that amtrak 188 was struck by something. it was traveling at more than 100 miles an hour and the brax were engaged as it reached a 50-mile-an-hour corner. what caused the speed? investigators aring look at a manual increase of the or an engine issue. trains now return to service. david kerley abc news philadelphia.

yesterday. and very low vizsibilityvisibility. as much as an inch of rain an hour fell. there were also heavy storms and flooding in eastern mississippi. firefighters had to rescue two women and their kit frn a home. motorists were stranded on flood street paps mud slide closed the major highway in the area. 11 inches of rain fell in just a few hours. if you look at the weather radar, you see the storms chirping in the central and plains. more than an inch of rain an hour may fall in texas, new mexico, and colorado. rain all the way up to the pacific northwest, though in the rockies, it may become snow. still ahead, president obama officially on twitter now. his first tweet and an exchange with former president clinton. an army captain racing to the rescue. big cat captured.

reports that the company quietly put those plans on hold for more than a year. well they did this about a year ago, i should say. apple couldn't come up with compelling breakthroughs to make the television stand out. instead, they're focusing on an online tv service and redesigning the tv interface box. meanwhile, starbucks entering a new partnership with spotify. which will allow customers to influence the music that's played in starbucks stores. once you have your coffee, you'll be able to continue listening to your store play list through the starbucks or spotify apps. spotify customers will be able to earn starbucks reward points. it's the first time those points are available outside of stores. nabisco is at it again. offering up another limited edition oreo flavor. this time, it's s'mores oreos. featuring a graham cracker-flavored cookie. inside you'll find marshmallow and chocolate-flavored creams. the company tweeting yesterday, get a taste of the outdoors indoors. oreo s'mores flavored cookies coming soon.

look at this huge mess on the 5 freeway out in l.a. a tractor trailer carrying glass overturned. you don't want that on a highway. broken glass all over the place brought several lanes of busy interchange at the height of the morning rush hour no less. the driver escaped with a minor cut. the hazards on the roads this morning won't be glass by water. rain along most of the east coast, the deep south, and plains. watch out for flooding in texas and oklahoma. snow in the rockies. roads wet in the northwest. if you're flying, airport delays likeliest in denver, philadelphia, new york city, and boston. federal prosecutors say baggage handlers were part of a pot-smuggling ring at the airport in oakland, california. >> three handlers used security clearance to bypass check points and send weed in the cargo hold of southwest airlines jets. now according to the investigators, one of the accused posted pictures of large bundles of cash and pot on his instagram. brilliant. in all, 14 people were charged.

they each face 40 years in prison. a tourist at yellowstone national park lucky to be alive this morning. nearly fell into the park's own grand canyon. look at this. rangers say he was trying to take a picture when he stumbled backwards over a low stone wall. he fell about 25 feet before he was able to stop himself and hang on. rangers used ropes and pulleys to rescue him before he fell another 200 feet. take a look at this fiery crash caught on camera. this is in north carolina. that guy right there that's an army captain from ft. bragg. he's the hero. that's him in the red t-shirt pulling the guy out. captain steve voglezon pulled the victims out who were trapped in the burning car. risked his own life. he downplayed his heroics saying it took a whole team of good samaritans to make it happen. that red t-shirt he's wearing had captain america on the front of it. a mountain lion has been captured in california after a wild, day-long chase. the 90-pound cat was spotted in

a red denl neighborhood several times near san mateo before it was cornered in a backyard tree and tranquilized. the mountain lion was then released in a wildlife refuge. a bank robber in florida didn't get very far with his loot. that's because a trained fighter happened to be in the building. mixed martial arts expert eric haritakis was there. he saw the man hold up a teller. so he chased him down, hog-tied him with duct tape and held him down until police arrived. he insists he's not a hero either. he just felt obligated to intervene. >> duct tape. a rare event in a texas maternity ward. identical female triplets. two of the little girls are conjoined and face separation surgery when they're older. each of the girls weighed just over four pounds and are breathing on their own despite the challenges ahead. the parents call them miracle babies. >> god chose us for a reason to take care of them. he sent us these angels for a reason.

of the run off. workers are not going to be let into their businesses for a long-term. here are pictures taken by the san jose fire department of the huge flames and plume of smoke from the warehouse next to bow we. a bystander saw the fire and called it in at 12:30 and it went to four alarms of the 100 firefighters and command staff were on the scene and contained it to a fifth of the structure. firefighters sprayed water from the outside. the biggest concern was the chemicals in the building. the biggest danger are came from an auto repair and caming business that uses many chemicals that can eat through clothing and skin. as a result of that, half of the fires on the scene, 45, were put through a decontamination process and sprayed down with water, retested for chemicals and given medical ass
