we have one accident that is certainly in affect in east bay and that is gumming things up south of highway 84 on 880 and we have a new crash in the santa cruz mountains near the summit and we will look at the bay bridge toll plaza with metering lights turned on and traffic is stacking up from the east bay and in san jose all moving along at top speeds. if you have a flight to catch you should not be late the. >> in san jose firefighters are warding off potential toxic smoke danger from an overnight fire. a business that uses chemicals on cars when up in flames as firefighters are keeping our crew a good distance from the scene to be safe. our reporter joins us with more. matt? >> we have been moved back to come up with a plan on how they will clean things up and knocking on the businesses with a firefighter standing in 9 door. there was someone need and it

looks like they are waiting for them to come out and leave because this area is considered dangerous. firefighters will come to try and clean up the toxic water created from the four alarm fire. check out the picture from the san jose fire department when the fire was first reported at 12:30, you can see the huge flames at the building where a variety of businesses are located. it took an hour and 15 minutes to control it. firefighters believe the biggest danger came from an ought stow repair and detailing business that uses many chemicals. firefighters were defensive and sprayed a lot of water at flames. >> we activateed the team and tested the water and noted it was caustic, at 13 on ph so it will eat through your clothing like an acid. it will eat through skin.

>> 100 firefighters and staff were on the scene and because of the danger from the chemicals and smoke of half the firefighters 45 were put through decontamination process sprayed down water and retested. no injuries were reported. the water uses on the warehouse is considered toxic and the firefighters' job is to contain the run off. at daylight they can term how much more work needs to be done to clean up the run off. there will be a big job, a big clean up, for the firefighters here on the scene that could last a long time today. a firefighter estimated they will have a better idea at midday of hour long they will be here. >> no health problems have been reported after this flame was seen rising from the refinery that appeared at 10:30 last night at the facility. fire officials say the refinery

has not called for any outside help. >> things back to normal in a san mateo neighborhood after a wild chase for a mount town lion lasted hours yesterday and the animal was finally tranquilized last night. our reporter is in the newsroom. >> the mount town lion is back in its natural habitat and released near the reservoir in san mateo on his own. here is the 2-year-old lion, sleepy after being see dated and packed in the back of the fish and wildlife truck. the day was spent trying to track down the lion. he was seen wandering around a residential neighborhood with the first call at 4:30 a.m. later in the day the lion was seen near an apartment complex. at one point a man saw the 90-pound animal exploring his

backyard. >> he was running around the backyard, there is a big pool there, and it is gated so i don't know how he got back there but a big shock. >> police finally cornered the mountain lion up a tree in a backyard at 7:00 last night. the game warden shot him with a tranquilizer dart and the animal was checked out by a vote and deemed "healthy." >> last may a cat hit inside a parking garage and in october in san jose, surveillance video captured a mountain lion claiming on a car. >> officials say the lion in san mateo was not acting aggressive and probably wandered into town for food. thank you. >> of course this is just the latest slighting and she told us that a big cat was tranquilized

after it hid in a parking garage. in october in san jose, surveillance video captured a mount stain lion climbing on a car and it escaped. >> six people were busted out of oakland athletics in a drug ring. the f.b.i. said that baggage handlers used special access to smuggle drews beyond the we security check points and hand off the marijuana who hid the drugs in carry on baggage. 14 are charged including three baggage handlers and passengers all from oakland and san leandro and castro valley. they have now increased their security system. >> pacifica will bury two whales that recently wash up on a beep. at first city leaders decided to let the whales decompose but the odor emanating from the bodies made the officials change their minds. it will take two days to bury the whales. >> a texas restaurant is closed

permanently after a deadly biker brawl and they are scrambling still, to book all 170 people arrested. by yesterday the police are only halfway through booking those arrested. >> one of the conducters on the derailed train is suing the carrier, the conductor suffered serious injured with the new york city bound train flew off the rails killing eight people and injured more than 200 others. the train was traveling at more than 100 miles per hour, twice the speed limit. federal investigators stress it could take a year to finalize the robe into what went wrong. you can see more of the latest developments on the amtrak tragedy on "good morning america" right here on abc7. >> we have our first look inside the just completed borings for the subway tunnel in san francisco when it ons in 2019 it will extend 1.8 miles from south

>> breaking news in san jose where concerns continue to run high at this hour of a possible toxic danger from an overnight warehouse fire. fires are trying to make sure the area is safe. our reporter is in san jose with more. matt? >> fire can't said the water run off here is like a chemical soup. they taped off the area and evacuated workers from nearby buildings. next they have to come up with a clean up plan. here is when the fire was reported last night at 12:30 with huge flames where a variety of businesses are located at 101. it took an hour and 15 minutes to control this. firefighters believe the biggest danger came great an auto detailing business that uses chemicals. there is a metal finishing company. firefighters were defensive and sprayed a lot of water on the flames. that run off was tested and it was highly caustic.

kidnap a young girl in the south bay. the video shows the man's car drive along harriet animal where a girl was walking her dog. the driver appears to stalk the girl. he drives past her turns around and pulled up next to her the he gave the girl a bear hug and she screamed and ran away. detectives say he is asian or hispanic and wore a beanie and was in his 30s. >> man accused of trying to rain a 13-year-old san jose girl in her home is headed back do court. mohammad khaliqi made the first court appearance last week. he faces four felony counts including false imprisonment and the intent to commit rain. investigators say he is the man seen on surveillance video pushing his way into the girl's home and trying to attack her. she was able to fight him off and he ran away. mohammad khaliqi is a suspect in an attempted sexual assault last month at an asian market in saratoga.
