we begin with major delays on the b.a.r.t. system. thanks for joining us, i'm kristen sze. >> i'm cheryl jennings. the b.a.r.t. delays are affecting the entire system because of an equipment problem on the tracks in oakland. sky 7 hd shows you track workers taking a look at the problem site near the subway portal in downtown oakland. b.a.r.t. has suspended service on one line and bart calls the i shall a you a routing problem between the west oakland, 12th street and lake merit stations. leyla gulen is here to keep an eye on the impact. >> yes indeed. red what we are seeing as far as b.a.r.t. delays concerned. definitely not playing around

here. there is a system-wide delay. service has been suspended between bay fair and fremont on the fremont line and daley city direction. all due to an equipment problem on the tracks. you want to board the richmond train and transfer at bay fair to san francisco and the daley city train. now it is going to be suspended on the richmond line in the millbrae direction until further notice because of that problem. board the fremont rain to sfo what is this doing to our traffic since this is going tonight best way to get around it, coming in from the east bay look at the bay bridge toll plaza. normally at this time it would be empty. right now it is packed, a full house coming in from the east bay toward san francisco. >> we will follow that up for you on twitter at abc7 news on twitter. a terrifying few hours finally over for a south bay mother whose little girl was the subject of an amber alert. the two were reunited this morning. the 6-year-old was taken from her home in san hose sand she

was found 75 miles away by stockton. matt keller joins us with the good news. matt? >> reporter: we are standing in the neighborhood where sheriff deputies say the abduction took place this morning much the mom is in stockton right now, picking up her daughter and bringing her back here while the alleged kidnappers are headed to the santa clara county jail. the end to this morning's amber alert is satisfying. >> we are here at sfpd and stockton pd are grateful, able to reunite ava with her family since we located her in stockton. >> reporter: the 6-year-old was found by stockton police before 6 this morning, wearing her minute us minnie mouse t-shirt used in the amber alert description. >> i do want to thank everybody involved getting her back safely. >> reporter: the search for ava started at 2:20 this morning. her mom reported her ex-boyfriend, 39-year-old man took ava from her home on cleveland avenue in san jose and drove off with his current

girlfriend 35-year-old stockton resident dawn atkinson. this simple story is complicated. the sheriff's department says cheadle has known ava since she was 1-year-old and takes care of her from time to time. he went to drop her off at her mom's house at 2:20 this morning. >> he brought her into the house, the mother received phone call from her new boyfriend which upset our suspect. the suspect told our 6-year-old ava to go out to the car she went out to the car. the male then struck our female -- her mother which is domestic violence. >> reporter: deputies say cheadle left and he and atkinson drove ava to a stockton home. during that time, an amber alert went out. ava was at alleged victim of a kidnapping, cheadle, atkinson and their car were in the spotlight, being looked for by law enforcement and steps. police found them at a house on tree swallow court. atkinson arrested outside. he was inside with ava and surrender peacefully. sheriff investigators say the

suspects had no intention of hurting ava. the young girl is now headed home. >> i was very happy to see her. she looked like she was having fun here that was good to see. she seems good. >> reporter: deputies say at kinson and cheadle will face kidnapping and conspiracy charges while cheadle will also face an additional charge of domestic violence. live in san jose matt keller, abc7 news. >> matt, thank you. a former youth -- will appear in court on child porn charges. police arrested the man on may 7th on allegations of file sharing child pornographic, also charged with one count of child molestation. the 27-year-old was a night monitor at saratoga's walden west science camp. the county office of education says it hired an outside investigator to look into other possible molestation cases. happening today another demonstration will be held to protest morality clauses in the

handbooks of san francisco catholic high schools. at issue language and archdiocese teacher's happened book that requires teachers to adhere to church doctrine in their personal lives as well. the language was revised of the original handbook but protesters say the message remains the same and underlines the mission of catholic education and diverse community. there was some drizzle across parts of the bay area mist and drizzle, could that be mizzle? silly? here. >> hear meteorologists saying that word. flying over oakland, caught some of that on one of his camera lenses. >> here is the look with the first forecast. >> good morning everybody.

look at our levels here the strawberry farmers 92 feet. everything else has been above 1900 feet at tilden park rocky ridge and highland peak from 100 to 300. the next couple of hours, as long as this swirling air mass of moist air continues to hang around we could have some drizzle. say until about 1:00 and then we will start to see that dry and looks like the clouds are going to be stubborn today. another cooler-than-average day. more showers coming up in the forecast, cheryl. >> mike thank you so much. the family and friends of a camp counselor killed by a falling tree are staging a testimony mop station in san francisco. killed two years ago at a camp in yosemite national park her family wants somebody held accountable after all these years. amy hollyfield joins us now. >> reporter: they are here outside the camp offices here in san francisco on stuart street. these are friends and relatives

of the woman and they believe that the camp was negligent and that is why she died. the camp called her death a freak accident. the group plans to spend the day out here the demonstrators with ament to see the camp leadership admit that they are responsible for her death and to resign. 21-year-old anna was working at the camp in july which is located just outside of yosemite july 2013 when a huge limb from an oak tree fell and crushed her to death. the family says they have evidence from recently settled lawsuits that shows the camp ignored advice from tree trimmers and arborists. the camp denies those claims. >> i miss my beauty every single day and i think almost two years, killed july 2013, she didn't have to die. she was killed because, in my view, of willful negligence. >> what i want this community to

do is to start asking questions. you can still love a place, have great experiences at that place, but tough ask the questions, you have to look at the evidence. >> reporter: the camp says its trees are routinely ned by certified arborist and we have consistently followed recommendations for their maintenance and removal. in spite of this vigilance, a tree did spontaneously fall. the camp director tells me since the death, they have hired two arborists that inspect every tree. the director tells me she has no plans to resign and keep her in her job. the staff still agrees the death of anna and their heart goes out to her family. live in san francisco amy holly field, abc7 news. >> thank you. massive cleanup effort under way in santa barbara after a ruptured pipeline spilled gal lops of oil into the ocean. teams are out rake and shoveling

new this morning, u.s. intelligence officials have released more than 100 documents seized during the navy s.e.a.l.s raid on terrorist leader osama bin laden's compound in 2011. the documents include a loving letter to his wife and job application for his terrorist network. some of the questions asked, do you have any hobbies, have you ever been convicted of a crime? bin laden the master mind behind the september 11th attacks in 2011 -- or 2001 was killed in that raid in 2011. we have some new developments this morning at the nfl owners' meeting in san francisco. a league executive says the raiders may be running out of time to stay in oakland. after meeting with openers this morning, the executive painted a bleak picture prospects for a
