"abc news" sports reporter begins our team coverage tonight in houston with a look at the big win. what's so exciteing? >> it sure was katie. you just talked about it being a blowout win especially getting within one game of the nba finals. this was a team hitting on all cylinders tonight and led by their mvp steph curry. how good was he in game three? 40 points. he hit more three-pointers than the entire rockets team. kind of symbolic of his efforts

market street and police believe they have caught the killer. we have the details. >> reporter: this is a triple shooting that happened this afternoon just before 3:00 p.m. larry benson and fitzgerald live right next door. >> i had heard three shots and he heard three shots as well. he came into the house. he said, were those gunshots? i said i think they were. >> reporter: police and an s.w.a.t. team arrived and got them out of the home and got the shooter out of the house and in custody. neighbors ss say they know him really well and said he was arrested some time ago for burglarizeing their home and may have been mentally unstable. >> even in open court when he burglarized our house he said we gave him permission to kick the door down. >> i'm not surprised. this has been coming a long time. >> reporter: police have not confirmed the name of the allege

alleged shooter or victims and one of them is the accused person's father. abc 7 news. happening now protesters on the move tonight demonstrateing against a policy banning nighttime marches along city streets. sky 7 hd show where police stopped marchers at 3rd and washington streets. at least 18 people were arrested but police would not confirm any numbers tonight. it follows an order by oakland mayor requireing a permit before marching at night. more than a dozen arrests in cleveland after a white officer is acquitted in the death of two unarmed black men. the officer fired through the windshield 15 times while standing on the hood. the judge said he couldn't determine the officer fired the fatal shot. the justice department will review the evidence and compall available options. a spark from a welder

accidentally started a three alarm grass fire that threatened homes in san jose. on chula vista drive when it started, the flames bush ss burned through a palm tree and about a dozen homes threatened at one point and a dozen acres burned and one man recovering from smoke inhalation. >> a big difference in traffic on the san antoniomateo bridge closure than a week ago. it's a big difference from the closure on mother's day weekend which caused heavy traffic jams across the bay area. a look outside at the bay bridge toll plaza. traffic is light and moving smoothly. at the golden gate bridge pretty much the same thing, not many cars on the road and no traffic to speak of. traffic affected by the weekend

to protect businesses from vandalism. thieves stole a jet fuel truck and crashed and ran away when the truck stopped running. now to those sex abuse allegations involving a popular reality tv family a son on the show 19 kids and counting accused of molesting five young girls when he was a teen. he was found in the closet with a gun in missouri. he was wanted for the murders of his ex-girlfriend and their 17-year-old son. he had already been accused of holding the woman captive and sexually assaulting her and forced her to live in a wooden box. he had charges for kidnapping and abduction. one of the top seismic experts just returned home after trying to learn from an earthquake recently. he runs a structureal engineering firm that works to make seismic seismically strong buildings. many buildings remained stand ging after nepal's earthquake but may no longer be ush ableable. he's concerned that may be the case here. >> many buildings are required to have a life safety requirement.

we will see similar things in san francisco. >> he believes the technology exists to make both existing and new buildings stronger. the operator of the oil pipeline that spilled thousands of gallons of crude oil into santa barbara county said it had a safe shutdown process in place. its system of having operators remotely shut down the line was safer than having a commuter do it automatically. the pipeline is the only one in the county not required to have an automatic shutoff valve. protesters dresed as bees are hopeing a languagee ing aing a large march through san francisco will get a lot of attention from a corporation monsanto. the group wants the company to stop using genetically modified crops for food and say it's harm harmful to people, the environment and especially bees. >> other countries have banned monsanto because of what they've done to the bees.

there's a thriveing industry on the posting of fake reviews. people are getting paid to write glowing reviews leaving you to wonder which ones you can trust. what we need to know to protected ourselves. >> courtney archibald saw a job posting on craig's list involve involving social media and thought it would be perfect for her. >> social media comes really easy for me. >> the oakland resident replied to a blind e-mail box and received a job offer to write a review for a plastic surgeon. courtney had never even heard of the doctor yet she was sent a glowing review and told to cut and paste it on to yelp. >> i said i'm not doing this. this is crazy unethical. >> courtney may have turn down the job but plenty of others ready and willing. we found several people advertiseing their services for a

positive review on a site known as fiber. i will do a positive review i will write a 300 word product or service review for 5$5 advertised niche writer, i will review anywhere once for 5$5. offer review point. you cankancan also provide me your own review and i will post it. >> the thatat is extremely unethical because they haven't purchased that product or had an experience. >> his job is to make sure reviews posted on a company's site are legitimate. >> we tend to flag about 2% of content and suspicious. >> that content goes through additional testing. if it's fraudulent it's removed from a client's site. we asked associate producer rick newman to apply for job as a reviewer to see what would happen. the add seemed innocent enough get paid to post reviews on yelp

or angie's list in san francisco. it didn't take much to get hired >> all i had to do was applyreply to the craig's list ad and they want me to review. >> she was asked to review a diet upsupplement and never tried the product. >> i never used a product in the form of a pill and have no experience with it and they want me to write a five star review. >> reporter: yelp flag edged this alert. warning, this company's ratings may be inflated. >> there is evidence behind the scenes. they can read that and make their decision if they'd like to spend their money at that business. >> yelp says certain kinds of businesses tend to use fake review reviews? we have seen evidence of medical and dentists trying to game our system in exchange for reviews. back to courtney asked to review

plastic surgeon andrew barnett on yelp. he has offices in san francisco and walnut creek and has five star reviews from 76 of46 of 51 people posting and we contacted him and he declined to go on camera but told us a company called future solutions media worked on his behalf without authorization and later billed him. he went on to say let me be perfectly clear. i did not or have not asked any to write a fake review. we reached out to future solutions and never heard back. >> he has 4 1/2 to 5 stars. which of these reviews are real? are any real? >> yelp has issued consumer alerts since 2012 and they expire after 90 days. right now, there are no active alerts on yelp. to distinguish a fake review from a real one look for

friends and compare sites and read sites such as expedia that require reviewers to purchase from them before leaving a review. >> good advice. a final check of the forecast and the weather could mean delays? >> yes. we could see fog moving in overnight. it usually means we could see delay ss at the airport in the morning. we see the tornado watch from texas in effect and even thunderstorms through denver, 63. ironically pretty quiet in the underneath northeast. 81 in new york and boston. in tahoe a possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon and partly cloudy in los angeles at 71. here in the bay area, we'll be warming up in the inland areas and southbound.
