>> indeed. this has been a long fight for the residents and the owners of the last mobile home park in palo alto. that fight could come to an end later today because the city council is set to approve the closure today at the meeting. in november of 12 the owner of the buena vista mobile home park submitted an application to close it which consists mobile hopes four studios and a single family home. 400 residents face eviction. the appraisal offered $18,000 to each resident to relocate but some considered it too low. a reappraisal was recommended but the owner refused. the city council cannot stop the owner from closing but only discuss the adequative the proposed mitigation measure for the displaced residents. the leaders have been looking at other options including buying the park and using it as a source affordable housing.
