june 7th in oakland followed by games three and four the following tuesday and thursday in cleveland. all of that action right here on abc7. and we have a lot more coverage coming up. complete game highlights for you. stay tuned. and some special moments during tonight's post game celebration. that's all coming up shortly. >> and the former 49er player is making news. ray mcdone national was -- ray macdonald was arrested. the abc7 news reporter joins us live from san jose with the details. janet? >> ray macdonald left moments ago. you can see he was escorted by the alladin bail bonds who was waiting for hours to come out of the jail doors. now macdonald was arrested earlier this afternoon. it was the second time this afternoon for violating his restraining order. santa clara police arrested ray macdonald at this togo's across from levi stadium.

>> he looked a bit distraught. he sat for three or four minutes. >> this togo's employee said macdonald came in and asked for their address. then she saw the cops pull up. >> it was hush, hush. >> it has been the opposite for macdonald who was just released from jail two days ago. >> no comment. >> he is seen here leaving the santa clara county jail to catch a cab on monday. that's when police say he assaulted a woman who was holding an infant at his home at the carlisle. he was booked on suspicion of child endangerment. >> we received information he was in violation of a restraining order. we treat domestic violence seriously. >> he was at a residence he shouldn't have been at. he was released from the bears after news of the arrest. >> to me no one is above the law. if you made a mistake own up to it. >> this is macdonald's fourth arrest in a year. his case is being turned over

to the district attorney's office. abc7 news. >> in the east bay a man who took hostages at gunpoint is facing charges. everyone else on the scene is thankful no one got hurt. the four-hour drama went down at an arco station near buchanan. we have incredible video of how this crisis came to an end. >> dan, the investigators were interest you viewing the -- were interviewing the witnesses and the hostages hostages and many came face-to-face with an armed carjacker who was desperate to get away. the 35-year-old man who police have not identified finally gave up late this afternoon. he was holding two people hostage at the arco gas station in antioch. he carjacked a driver and drove off and then stole another car while leading police on a chase. >> the victim had his cell phone in the vehicle. and within minutes we began a track on that cell phone. >> the chp followed the

burgundy car by helicopter until police spiked its wheels causing the car to crash on the l street off-ramp near the gas station. the suspect jumped out armed with a 357 revolver. >> i had a good look at him. >> he says the man tried to carjack him and several others stopped at the traffic light. >> i thank god i am alive. >> the guy turned around and looked at me and pointed a gun at me. i immediately locked my door and rolled up the window. as he came toward me i punched it and went at him. >> he came to our car but went to the car next to us. >> she thinks her dog named cash made him think twice. after several hours negotiators convinced the man to release the store owner about 2:30. two hours later his employee walked sout, both unhurt and the suspect gave up. in antioch, abc7 news. >> this all began in ante yak when a -- antioch when a

driver crashed a stolen car. and then he carjacked a second vehicle and drove through concord, antioch and brentwood. then the suspect crashed again near the l street off-ramp in antioch after running over a spike strip. that's when he tried to steal several other cars, but wound up running into the arco gas station taking hostages. the first hostage was released at 2:30 and the second was freed an hour later. the suspect was taken into custody moments after that. >> that was wild. confessions of a car thief. a woman admits stealing several zip cars but still insists from jail she has been tearily accused jie. and one text and you are done. >> and we have a lot more warriors coverage. the shout out coach kerr gave to a special fan. >> i am meteorologist sandhya patel. temperatures are trending higher tomorrow. we'll show you where and h

abc7 is one of the only place u.s. can see them face-off in the finals. >> also making news tonight a woman accused in a wave of zip car thefts tells abc7 news says she did it, but not as much as she is accused of. it is a story you will see on abc7. during march and april 76 zip cars were stolen in san francisco and police believe nicole is behind many of the thefts. dipo says she has stolen seven of them. police say three zip cars have been stolen. >> i am not really going to plead guilty. i was the ringleader and it taught several other people. >> he has pleaded not guilty. she goes back to court charged with stealing seven zip cars. >> california's drought lead

to the cancellation of a fourth of july tradition in cupertino. the city says it has scrubbed its fire work show. it requires spraying about 100,000 gallons of water on the field to prevent any damage or grass from catching fire. no alternate location could be found so they called it off. >> apple is working on a fix for a bug that is crashing iphones. the problem is a text message that has latin and arabic characters. once you receive it and if your iphone is locked your phone crashes. it will come back on in about 15 seconds, but i message remains down until you delete the text. >> let's turn your attention to the forecast. >> sandhya patel is here with what is in store. >> the temperatures around the bay and inland came up a few degrees to the mid70s. we will bump up your numbers even more the next couple days. live doppler 7hd is showing you how much fog and low crowdieness we have. it hasn't advanced as far

inland because the marine layer has compressed. the temperatures are in the 50s. as you take a look at our live picture from our exploratorium camera we do have fog obscuring the top of the trans america pyramid. watch out for some fog and low clouds. we are looking at cooler weather sunday afternoon. take a look for yourself. after the first two days of may 24 consecutive days of below average temperatures. it has been one low-pressure system after another coming through and creating the overcast skies and the drizzle. the lows have pushed off for the time being. a weak ridge is moving ashore and that is what provided us with a little bump up in the numbers. this continues through saturday and sunday. the trough will come in and we will go back to cooler conditions for the second half of the weekend and maybe even a little drizzle or light showers may show up on sunday

evening and going into monday. keep that in mind as you make your outdoor plans. tomorrow morning fog will be a problem along the coast. visibility will drop and it may take you longer to get you to work and get to school. upper 40s to the mid50s. tomorrow afternoon you are looking at temperatures in the south bay on the warm side. gilroy 80 degrees and 75 in san jose. occasional high clouds. 70 in redwood city. 56 in pacifica. the clouds will hang tough. 61 degrees and you won't see much warming along the coast. upper 50sin the north bay. 72 in san rafael. east bay 606 oakland -- east bay 66 in oakland. 76 in pleasanton and 78 in livermore. if you are going to the giants game tomorrow night against the braves at at&t park it will be a bit breezy and the clouds are up and temperatures in the midto upper 50s.
