49ers lineman ray mcdonald is out of jail after getting arrested for the second time this week. abc 7 news was there when mcdonald walked out of jail in san jose last night after his read for violating a restraining order. he was arrested around 5:30 yesterday. he went to a home in santa clara, violating a restraining order filed after domestic violence incident on monday. police say mcdonald broke down a bedroom door to get to his former fiancee and baby. he was released by the chicago bears after monday's arrest. abc 7 news reporter matt keller will have more coming up in our next half hour. >> the fbi is on the case this morning of a surgical device believed to be spreading cancer in women. feds want to know if the company that makes device johnson & johnson continued to sell it even after they knew the risk. alyssa harrington hag more. >> reporter: millions of women have been treated this tool but

an fbi investigation says it might spread cancer. this is the what it looks like. the surgical tool is used most often in the fooib probe found up to 350 cases where there's a hidden cancer the spinning blades spread the can century cells. a doctor from amy had a hysterectomy last fall. >> at no point in time did anyone ever say because you had it that worsened your prognosis. that's something we discovered on our own. >> johnson & johnson is the largest manufacturer of the product. the company was first alerted of the risks back in 2006 but did not pull the device until last july. the fbi wants to know exactly what they knew about those risks

and for how long? a company spokesperson said to date they are the only manufacturer to pro actively take the step of pulling the product but others do remain on the market with an fda black box warning. live in the newsroom, alyssa harrington abc 7 news. >> new this morning out of sonoma county largest hi-tech employers, one of them shelling out big bucks to settle a water pollution case. jdsu was fined nearly $93,000 for disposing of hazardous waste into the sewer system. the city learned of the problem in 2013 when a water inspector discovered southeast chemical levels were out of balance. hard to imagine anything acflood threat with our ongoing drought but that's what the city of santa clara is to discussion on today. later this morning the water district there will break ground on a flood protection project along the guadeloupe river.

crews will design new tunnels to route water to the san francisco bay which would help keep the river from overflowing its banks. >> caltran says 99% of the anchor rods on the new bay bridge passed safety testing and can with stand a major earthquake. caltran began investigating the condition of the bolts or rods soon after the new span opened in 2013 when 32 broke after soaking in water. only two rods out of more than 400 failed the tests. the rods anchor the eastern span of the foundation. the two bolts that did not pass a test will be sent to lab to determine what happened. heads up for drivers. the mayor of san francisco is moving ahead with plans to bring speed cameras to the city. the cameras could be fixed or mounted on vans. it would operate in much the same way as red light cameras using radar to track speed and then snapping a photo. those going over the limit, violators could expect to pay

moment with his family holding his 2-year-old daughter up after the win. the team says winning was pure joy. the warriors were in a tough battle for most of the night the rockets did not go down easily and the warriors had trouble getting their rhythm going. it took them until the second quarter to start connecting. clay thompson was hot but went down with an injury during the game. the team won 104-90 first title of the western conference in 40 years. they proudly celebrated with their trophy but they are also looking ahead with stef currie. he has his eyes focused on lebron james and his cavaliers. >> we got to bring our a-game if we're going great team and great play for us four times. we're excited about the challenge, you know, he had to win his first one at some point and, you know, nobody on our team has experienced that. we'll be fighting like crazy every night. we have home advantage that we need to capitalize on. it will be a battle.

>> in other news at 6:34. former 49er ray mcdonald is facing a new charge after being arrested again yesterday two days after a domestic violence arrest. abc 7 news reporter matt keller is live from the santa clara county d.a.'s office. matt? >> reporter: this latest case is in the hand of the district attorney's office. prosecutors have to decide whether or not charges will be filed against ray mcdonald. the former 49ers player walked out of the santa clara jail around 11:00 last night after he posted bail. they learned mcdonald violate ad restraining order after being in a home in santa clara related to his domestic violence and child endangerment arrest. they arrested him across from levi stadium. mcdonald came back and asked for their address and saw the officers pull up. >> he looked a bit distraught. he came in and sat over there for about three or four minutes and then was in and out on the

phone. >> reporter: mcdonald's attorney told espn mcdonald was never served with a restraining order although he was told to stay away from his former fiancee. he said mcdonald went to the home to meet with the defense investigator and was told she would not be home. he was released from the 49ers siting more decision-making. mcdonald filed a defamation lawsuit in march against a woman who accused him of rape. he signed with the chicago bears during the offseason but released him after his arrest on monday. matt keller, abc 7 news. >> 6:36. this morning we can learn the identity of a man killed in a mobile home fire in livermore yesterday. it broke out in a mobile home park on south front road at preston avenue. this is cell phone video. firefighters found one trailer fully engulfed and a second next door also on fire.

crews discovered the victim inside one of the mobile homes once the fire was out. no one else was hurt. >> a man who took hostages at gunpoint in east bay is facing a slew of charges. the 35-year-old man was arrested after taking two people hostage at the arco gas station in antioch. just before noon police say he carjack ad driver, drove off and stole another car while leading police on a chase. he eventually crashed near a gas station. witnesses say he then tried to carjack several other drivers before going into the gas station. after several hours negotiators convinced the man to release the store owner and another employee. >> 6:37. up next a troubling trend for teens and technology. what research proves that may have patience consider stepping in. >> a legal feud. why makers of the popular health band could be forced to shell out some of their own fortune. >> as we go to break abc 7 news

they play a week from today against the cleveland cavaliers. former 49er ray mcdonald is out of jail after getting arrested for the second time in a week. abc 7 news was there when the 30-year-old bailed out last night. he was arrested for violating a restraining order stemming from a domestic violence zin. >> a man who took hostages at gunpoint in antioch is facing numerous charges this morning. the 35-year-old carjacked a vehicle, stole another car and led officers on a chase before holding himself up at a gas station along with two employees. after several hours he gave himself up. employees were not hurt. >> number six the search is over for the young girl who a bay bridge toll taker thought might be in trouble after seeing her struggle with a woman in an suv saturday. the woman said the girl was trying to break up a fight. >> number seven don't expect to see fireworks in cupertino on fourth of july. the show has been cancelled. >> thank you for joining us on abc 7 news.
