east bay school community is stunned this morning by reports that a teacher asked students to find their parent's sex toys and take selfies with them. good morning. i'm eric thomas. >> i'm kristin zee. an investigation is under way. amy hollyfield joins us live with the latest. amy? >> reporter: the teacher not here. school officials tell me he will not be here on the campus for the rest of the school year which does come to an end next week. two mothers told the san francisco chronicle that the tenth grade students were told they would get extra credit if they took the selfies with any

adult toys they found in their home. some other students told the newspaper the teacher was just kidding and that he's known as the funny, cool teacher. here's what the school district had to say when we asked about the adult toy selfie story. >> that's the story that's being told and i can say that i can't give you a lot of details. we do take these allegations seriously. so when our site administrators meaning the add min strars heard this story, they reported it to district offices here and that's exactly as it should have. that's our protocol and policy. while i know the public and the parents would like to hear more details, we have to keep the details of the investigation confidential. >> reporter: the district sent home a letter saying why officials are vague saying, quote the law and board policy require them to keep details of the situation confidential and done both to protect all parties

involved and also to preserve the integrity of the investigation. the district says it is now focusing on making sure the end of the school year is a positive and successful experience for the children. reporting live in alameda abc 7 news. >> amy, thank you. hey just over an hour ago, the warriors on the hardwood after last night's big win. >> they started slow and finished fast beating the cleveland cavaliers in overtime of the game one of the nba finals. >> oracle arena was rocking. lebron james showed why he was the best player on the planet and finished with 44 points but the warriors roaring back and tied after three quarters and they caught a break sending the game into overtime and the warriors then outscored cleveland 10-2 in o.t. to take game one, 108-100. >> got fortunate on the last shot. in overtime. ride the momentum and finish the

job off. >> we gave ourself a chance man. you know, i missed a tough one. but we had so many opportunities, you know, to win this game. we didn't. >> one point, everything was going right for the warriors. looking forward iguodala loses a shoe and still plays and sinks that three from the corner. that was in the fourth quarter and brought the ws to one and played 11 years in the nba without close to the finals so a lost shoe wasn't going to stop him. >> fans were in the element watching game one. abc 7 news was at the yard house in san jose last night where loud cheers erupted after almost every basket. almost every tv tuned to the game to cheer on the team. >> game one is safely in the win columns and working hard to get ready for game two at home and the crews trying to get oracle arena cleaned up and ready to go in time for sunday's matchup.

abc 7 news reporter is live with the behind the scenes look. matt? >> reporter: we were kicked out because the warriors are now practicing in a closed session to the media right now. game one is over. their focused on game two and we can look back at last night's game and say, wow. what a start to the nba finals. when the final buzzer sounded after the warriors overtime win over the cavaliers in game one, confetti from the top of oracle. after everyone left, it was time to pick it up. brooms, mops and even leaf blowers used by dozens of workers. officials say they doubled the cleanup crew because this is the finals and everyone is watching and what a start to the series. the hype was huge for the matchups between the best team and the best player. game one lived up to the hype. espn analyst chris broussard said it's everything basketball fans have been hoping for.

our part nerls report that neighbors tried to revive the child on ridge park lane in concord. police say the toddler taken to john muir medical center. the cdc says 1 to 4 are at highest risk for drowning and suggest self-closing fences and pool alarms. for more tips go to our website abc7news.com for a link. we are getting a close look at the devastation caused by tornadoes in colorado last night. twisters south of fort collins destroyed at least three homes and damaged more than two dozen others. the strong storms also pounded the denver area with quarter-sized hail. more storms in the forecast today and no reports of injuries, though. north of denver, a police sergeant luck on his side this morning when a road gave way beneath him. check it out. a massive sinkhole swallowed the suv as he drove along a road. the officer said he had to crawl

through the window to the roof and then grabbed the top of the pavement to pull himself out. he's bumped and bruised and expected to be okay. happening today china says it is not behind a series of cyber attacks on u.s. government computers. whoever the hackers were they may have stolen personal information on millions of government employees. alyssa harrington live with more on what this means. >> reporter: investigators discovered a massive breach that may have exposed sensitive information about millions of government workers. they blame china who in response says the u.s. is jumping to conclusions. the cyber attack, the largest of its kind. breached the computer system of the office of personnel management. it holds personal information for millions of past and present employees. things like names, birth dates and social security numbers. >> the estimates are at least 4 million violations so my guess is it might be bigger than that.

>> just about every federal agency may be affected. the department of defense the social security administration even the white house. the u.s. state department admits maintaining cyber security is not easy. >> the federal government all the time when we notice intrusions or possible intrusions, we have taken steps to mitigate them and continue to update our security but it is a pretty significant challenge. >> reporter: the fbi and department of homeland security suspect chinese hackers skoel records in december. they didn't know how sensitive the information was until recently. it could be used for financial fraud or espionage. >> oftentimes they look to gather dossiers on employees to target them through physical attacks and collecting the information, it's having a giant database and tap into it at any time. >> reporter: china's foreign ministry is denying the allegations calling them irresponsible and unscientific. intelligence officials say this is the second attempt by china

strange-looking fish falling from the sky. these'll-like creatures are lam lampries. they've been found in a parking lot. one was still alive and returned to the river. biologists say sea gulls may be catching them and dropping them in flight. an effort to scare off hundreds of sea lions that invaded an oregon port didn't go as planned. officials in the fishing town of estoria launched a fake orca yesterday hoping it would keep sea lions off the docks. everything was going fine until fake willie started taking in water. crews tried towing it in by rope and then the plan really went belly up. the orca flipped near the docks and score another victory for the dock squatters. >> the orca with a driver. did you see that? how do you account for him when it flipped over? >> yikes. >> too smart to be had.
