and then contacted police, all without making the suspect suspicious. >> police in san mateo county are on the lookout for men who groped two women in half moon bay. in both cases the women were walking in miramar near the mirada west walking trail when a man grabbed their buttocks and fled. >> take a look at the sketch of the woman who did the groping. he's between 18 and 30 years old with light brown skin and he was wearing a beanie in one assault and the hoodie in the other. >> cal trains riders after a person was struck and killed in atherton. the train that hit the pedestrian just before 3:00 p.m. and games are single tracking now through that year and that is slowing down the entire line. sheriff's deputies are trying to figure out if this was an accident or suicide. this is the 12th person killed along cal train tracks this year. >> a san jose dental office employees is accused of

pilfering $200,000 in forged reimbursement checks with the help of church workers. 56-year-old nadine macias castro wrote 360 checks at two santa clara bingo halls. run by the kappatolu congregational hall in san jose. they agreed to spend half playing bingo. all they needed to do was make the books balanced and because she was spending money at the bingo hall, it balanced and it didn't get caught because it's a cash business. >> prosecutors finally noted the checks were coming through and reported it to police. >> a big surprise for 49ers fans and another prominent player has decided to retire because of potential health concerns. 25-year-old anthony davis will call it quits after just four years with the niners. davis is considered to be one of the nfl's best offensive linemen. abc 7 news reporter lyanne

melendez is live tonight with the story. >> certainly dan, this is a big loss for the 49ers. anthony davis was the first-round pick in 2011. he has started all 71 games that he played with with the 49ers. he is that good and he's only 25 years old and davis suffered a concussion last season and he hasn't recovered 100%. >> he said he wanted to take a year or so off so his body and brain can heal. he said many won't understand his decision and that's okay he said. i'm simply doing what's best for my body as well as my mental health at this time in my life. someone who understands this very well is dr. jash what koluva, a concussion expert at the medical center. >> similarly, if you have another concussion without letting your previous concussion resolve and it could be a much worse and more devastating

covering san rafael south bay, pleasanton and the bay area this is abc 7 news. police are looking for eight men who robbed college students at gunpoint in their own home overnight and it happened at crespy drive near san francisco state university and katie udas is live with why neighbors think the men were targeted.

katie? >> ama, overnight the robbers pushed through the front door after one of the victims responded to a door knock but neighbors tell me that those same robbers may have been invited into that home several weeks earlier. >> they've had a few lab parties before. >> i didn't give much thought to it. >> karen lives next to a group of college-age men near san francisco state university and one of them opened the door around midnight. >> they were essentially bum rushed by a group of about eight suspects. >> once inside two men held the six victims on the floor while six other robbers ransacked the apartment stealing cash, cameras, phones and other items of value. police say at least one handgun was seen. >> because of their aggressive attack and aggressive nature we want to find out who they are and arrest them. >> officers only have a vague description of the robbers. >> one suspect didn't have a

white clown mask on. >> i am quite shocked and that's actually very surprise. >> reporter: neighbors wonder why a unit that looks like every other one on crespy drive was targeted. it sounds like a lot and a bay to breakers party last month may have been an invitation to would-be robbers. >> there were probably a couple hundred people there at that time and they're, and it's unfortunate. >> investigators are looking for surveillance footage in the area. in san francisco, katie udas, abc 7 news. >> a terrible tragedy to report tonight. a 1-year-old girl drowned after falling into a swimming girl in concord and the girl's mother found her in the home on ridge park lane, fire fighters and paramedics also performed cpr on the baby around 8:00 last night and sadly she died after being rushed to the hospital. >> silicon valley venture capital from kleiner perkins claims ellen pao is offering to drop an appeal for $2.7 million.

that's according to papers filed by the company. it comes after a jury rejected claims that kleiner perkins discriminated against her. it has no intention of accepting the offer. a spokesperson for pao has declined comment. google is reversing course and it will now disclose when the self-driving cars are an accident and google's co-founder defended the company's decision in order to protect those people at fault and that was before another one of the cars was rear ended. this is video of how a self-driving car seized the road including that one and google's cars have been involved in 13 accidents in nearly 1.8 million miles of driving. >> a bay area veteran who fahd in one of the bloodiest world war ii battles was give know an honor today and an honor he should have received decades ago. >> congresswoman jackie presented 92-year-old josh

that's how you're going to start off your weekend and let me show you live doppler 7 hd and it's not only the fog but look at all of the active weather in the sierra. thunderstorms have been firing up and as we take you in closer here right around the south lake tahoe area and a couple of minutes ago lightning strikes and a live picture will show you the threatening skies from the lake tahoe camera. if you're heading out there, do prepare for more active weather tomorrow and 60 degrees in san francisco and oakland in the mid-60s and 76 in san jose and currently 73 in morgan hill and our high temperatures made it up into the upper 08s in places like fairfield and livermore. a few buildup toward the mount hamilton area and it is 70 degrees in santa rosa and 67 in napa and 80s for concord, livermore and this is what some people live for. the fog from our mount tam cam. so if you don't like the warm weather, the coast is the place to be this afternoon. >> isolated showers over the

mountains and mild to warm saturday and temperatures will rise, sunday and monday. here's a look at the water vapor imagery and the areas of low pressure continuing to shift inland and that's responsible for the thunderstorms showing up in the sierra and before it does, we'll squeeze in another day of thunderstorm activity in the mountains, as you notice there saturday afternoon and quieting down a bit going into sunday morning and sunday afternoon can't rule out a few more showers and thunderstorms. speaking of storms i do want to show you hurricane blanca in the pacific and southwest of manzanillo. the category 1 storm, gusts to 115 miles an hour and it is expected to continue to work its way northward near cabo san lucas by 8:00 p.m. sunday night and it weakens rapidly and already waves are affecting the coastline there and we're expecting the coastline of mexico and we're expecting rain wind and the surf going into tuesday morning and if you're traveling into cabo san lucas keep that in mind.

comfortable start, low to mid-50s, and drizzle may show up. tomorrow afternoon it's short sleeve weather in the south bay and a mild one in san jossy and 77 in cupertino and 75 in gilroy and palo alto, menlo park and 62 in pacifica and we'll hold on to the fog in daley city and 61 degrees and 62 downtown in san francisco. santa rosa napa and in the east bay, 69 and oakland and 75 fremont and inland spots warm once again and 85 antioch and a look at the accuweather seven-day forecast and heating up sunday and not just because of game two but of course the temperatures inland up in here, 90 degrees and we'll see low 90s, inland and fog will be around so those of you who live here in san francisco and move to san francisco because of the fog, don't worry we're not going to make it hot everywhere, just in our inland areas.
