>> good morning, everyone, i'm carolyn tyler. thanks for joining us on this sunday june 14th. let's start with a quick look at the weather with our meteorologist lisa argen. >> good morning, carolyn. live doppler hd and the fog and low clouds have made it just across the bay. not quite into our east bay valleys. we did have a cooler day yesterday and this morning a little bit of mist along the shoreline, but otherwise we have upper 50s in some of the warmer locations from hayward and mountain view. 58 in oakland, 65 san francisco. we are cooler anywhere from 5 degrees cooler in livermore 4 degrees cooler in san jose and that will be the trend once again today. low clouds and fog swatted at

the coast and more clouds along the marin coast but widespread 70s and 80s today and 90s in sacramento. we will detail the last full week of spring coming up. >> thank you, lisa a young east bay mother is in custody this morning after police say she kidnapped her baby boy following visitation. 918-month-old boy was taken from his home by his mother yesterday afternoon. abc7 news was there when the boy's father, he would win gonzales, found out late last night that his son was safe. >> they said they found my son in newark, so that was what i was afraid of, they would leave sunny available and go somewhere else. i am so grateful they found him. you don't know how happy i am! >> rodriguez does not have

custody of her son. one of her friends shoved a family member out of wait so she could take the baby. there was false alarm last night in san francisco. fifth and market streets there was a suspicious vehicle. the bomb squad was called in while police closed down nearby streets." officials gave the all clear at midnight and so quarter on why the vehicle was considered uss superbnous the first place. this morning a driver is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he slammed into three other cars in san francisco. abc7 news was on the scene shortly after the crash yesterday at 7th and bryant street. the driver hit three parked cars, and one went into cafe romo, which fortunately was closed. >> he came so fast and he was actually out of control and he was like fishtailing. he was really, really out of

control. and i heard like a bomb. it sounded like a bomb and then i saw the glass everywhere. >> no one else was injured. a three-year-old boy is dead after drowning in a backyard swimming pool in vallejo. it happened around 4:00 yesterday afternoon on california street. police say the boy was playing in the yard of a home when he fell into the pool. a family member pulled him out, started cpr and called 911. no charges were filed and police leave it was an excellent. >> firefighters were busy with a grass fire that flared up at least twice. the fire that burned 5 acres started around 5:00. crews were able to get control of the situation quickly and left the scene burks they were called back twice when the wind

rehandled the smoke and flames. >> we were getting ready to pull the hoses off but the fire department game and everyone shut down. >> neighbors heliabc7 news they are trying to figure out how to clean up the brush on the hill behind those homes. a lightning sparked a wildfire in a national forest has turned to more than 1300 acres and is just 5% contained. it broke out yesterday about halfway between eureka and redding. no damaged buildings have been reported or injuries. yesterday there were two people that were sent to the hospital from great america park. they said they will cooperate with the california investigating unit. a worker is in critical condition a rider suffered a prone finger.

wedding was detained and questioned by police after the firearm went off. guests were having pictures taken during the reception when the gun accidentally discharged. a woman was grazed in the head by a ricochet and four others were hurt by shattered glass. man was placed in a hotel cruiser and hotel guests were stunned by that event. >> we were walking in and we heard a gunshot. i thought something got dropped. >> we arrived and found out there had been a shot and et cetera, et cetera. >> hotel officials allowed the wed to go continue. it's unclear if the man with the gun will face charges. >> a man angered over losing custody of his son triggered a deadly chase and shooting outside a dallas police headquarters yesterday morning. man shot at the building the

officers, their cars. they chased him to a nearby city with a sniper killed him. his father is mourning the loss of his son. >> was he is perfect person? no. none of us are. but did he deserve to lose his life? >> a bomb squad later blew up the armored van because he said it was full of explosive. >> in new york police say no new leads nine days after two convicted murders escaped from a maximum security prison in northern new york state. prisoner worker joyce mitchell now faces charges. she's accused of helping the men break out. the nba finals will resume this evening when the warriors host the cavaliers in game five at oracle arena. count down clock is here.

abc7 news is at the warriors facility in downtown oakland as both teams practiced yesterday. they worked out there because the arena was unavailable. and that is because oracle hosted the summer jam concert featuring lil wayne last night. cruise began reinstalling the basketball court after the concert. >> a lot of people are making wagers on the series, including firefighters in both cities. wayne freedman has the story from fire station number 7 in cleveland. >> do not get comfortable! steph curry is coming. >> in cleveland station 7 at the basketball firehouse. look at these trophies. four years running behind marty. yep, look around. check out the turnout, the basketball, and now it's all on the line with the t-shirts,

it's been very, very hard, but we are back. and we have to begin again. the business is starting over again. >> the new shop is on mission street between 24th and 25th street. she hopes the old customer will find the store again and new people will visit. >> los angeles joins the ranks of people raising the minimum wage yesterday. mayor signed in law a measure that would gradually raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. back in november voters approved a plan to raise san francisco's minimum wage by 2018. oakland will also go up to $15 an hour by 2018. and earlier this month it was volt today raise it statewide to $13 an hour by 2016.

a roving neighborhood celebration and five hour street party begins at 11:00. streets are closed to cars, including those that run through golden gate park. activities include a circus center a place to get free bicycle tune-ups, food and beanbag costs. it closes the street to automobile traffic during sunday streets throughout the year some are taking advantage of fan fever selling bargain tickets that turn out to be fake. one diehard fan thought he was going to game two but his tickets were phony. michael finney has the story. >> this may look like the warriors front office but it's henry's living room and not just for finals it's permanent. >> i'm a huge fan. >> he has been a die-hard fan

livermore. here's the third hurricane of the pacific. it's carlos and it's a minimal hurricane right now with winds of 79s meyers. gusts to 100. you see how it parallels the mexican coast bringing anywhere from five to upwards of 10 inches of rain and through tuesday you notice still right along the coast here. right now not tracking anywhere toward the lower 48. from the roof camera we have the temperatures are pretty mild in 50s. 55 half moon bay. plenty of clouds here. but to the north of half moon bay perhaps coastal sun. it will be cool. 58 in oakland right now. and, of course the warrior colors for you downtown. 54 petaluma and napa. fairfield pretty gusty winds up to 46 miles an hour out of the southwest right now. indicative of some of the cooler marine air being transported inland. we saw about 94 yesterday in

some of the warmest locations. today it will drop to the 5 or of degrees. 58 in livermore, 57 concord and recommend i fill. partly to mostly cloudy skies. patchy fog and cooler in sports. mild to warm weather today. tomorrow another weak weather system passes to the north of us. we have high pressure that is keeping us fair with sunny averages but it is slide to go the east of the bay area. that allows for the breezy coast and the cooler marine air to filter all the way into the delta. we can have the next system move up and over the ridge. it provides some cooler air first and the coolest day of the week should be tomorrow. pretty pleasant with 70s and 80s. if you head into town it will be partly clear. more sunshine by at&t park by 64 degrees at 1:00 and wind about 15 miles an hour. temperatures maybe dropping a degree or so through 4:00. rest of the day, 80 in san jose.

>> yes, it is time once again to relocate the fan along the great highway in san francisco. the southbound lanes will be closed. two week project will involve moving over 255 cubic yards of the sand away from the highway and toward the ocean. some areas will be closed up to five days starting tomorrow. that project tries to reduce the likelihood of sand buildup on the highway during windy weather. lisa, you are saying we have some breezy weather today. >> absolutely. the high temperature in san francisco at 3:00 this afternoon, it will take a while to reach the 66 degrees. and right now with mid-50s plenty of cloud cover here we

of course, i'm excited for that, as well as the cool down in our east bay valley. the live doppler image right any shows low clouds and fog banked up along the shoreline. it's reached over into the east bay. not yet into the valleys. but the cooler marine air reaching you again today. big cool down from mt. tam. the sun officially up right now. looking at numbers mainly in the 50s. 54 morgan hill. half moon bay in the mid-50s right now. was in the mid-60s yesterday. about the same today but minor ups and downs throughout the work week ahead. with the cloudy skies to start in the city. so it will take about noontime before we see the clearing here. the southwest wind by the delta cranking to 36 miles an hour. looks like we won't see much in the may of 90s over the hills. emeryville mostly cloudy right now with temperatures by oracle arena today in the upper of 60s.

looks to be a beautiful afternoon. patchy fog and a little drizzle maybe at the coast. it's cool in spots this morning. mild and warm today. that's the way we like it around here. we will have a couple of games where we keep trying to come back in the inland valleys. i'll show that to you. but overall looks to be pretty quiet around here with the coolest day of the week arriving tomorrow. and it's because of this area of high pressure slide to go the east. it makes way for a series of weak weather systems to push into the pacific northwest. allowing the marine layer to grow tower and reach further inland. today it allows breezy winds at the coast. it's not going to change all week long. and this system riding over the ridge brings temperatures down farther tomorrow. but we may get more sun at the coast tomorrow. highs today still warm in the valley but no triple digits. 95 chico and 90 sacramento. 60s on the coast and a little sun from time time. more clouds in southern

california. 76 there for a high. so let's take a look at san jose. the average high should be about 80 degrees this time of year. and we will be there today. the numbers come down a degree or so tomorrow. barely discernible. there's your midweek warmup. they drop a little bit and looks like the warm of the day will come next saturday, which would be the last day of spring. we will see if that verifies. but overall a nice week in the south bay with temperatures nearing average. and we can say that more much of the day. 68 today over the east bay. 75 in palo alto. 89 antioch. one of the warmer locations and another look at oracle arena today. about 2:00 look for numbers in the upper 60s. plenty of golden sunshine. and 8:00 the numbers begin to slide a bit around 60 degrees with the sun setting at 8:32. so the accuweather seven-day forecast shows the coolest day tomorrow and the numbers coming back up a little bit next week. nothing too hard to take. and the cool down and by next week next saturday looks to be
