at 11:30, the big ticket items that the warrior fans are rushing to get their hands on. >> and stay with us for abc7 news for live coverage from cleveland. get all things warriors from the sports anchor mike shumann and wayne freedman and laura an -- anthony. it is only on your final station. >> game six is tuesday night in cleveland. they are the only place you can see the war yirs and the cavaliers in the finals. the coverage begins at 5:30 with the nba countdown. the game starts at 6:00. let's move on. developing news in san francisco. a police officer shot and killed a family's pittbull dog. it happened just after 6:00 on oakdale avenue in the bay view neighborhood. abc7 news reporter lilian kim is in the newsroom with exactly how this happened. >> dan, two sfpd officers responded after getting a 9-1-1 call. it turned out there was no emergency. it was a child who was playing with a phone and inadvertently called emergency dispatch.

the officers didn't know that at the time and entered the property where they encountered a pittbull. >> big shots for a dog. what caw say? >> he was horrified when he heard a san francisco police officer shoot and kill the family dog. 11-year-old zoe was in the yard when they came through the side corridor and on to the property when san francisco's bay view neighborhood. >> he started shooting boom boom, boom. when he got done he ended upright here. >> no one disputes zoe bit the officer's hand, but the family says they could have taken zoe away. >> and i understand that they were doing their job. that's understandable. the fact that they didn't give us a chance to put her in safety , you know, and we did say stop. we will get her. they didn't give us the chance. san francisco police however tell us the officer was bitten several times. the officer shot the dog to stop the attack and prevent further injury. even so the family is

considering taking legal action. >> she was our pet. we had her over 10 years. it is really heartbreaking. >> as for the officer he went to the hospital to get checked out. lilian kim abc7 news. >> police in stockton shot and killed a man who they say was trying to run them over. officers say they saw him attacking a woman in a stolen car. he sped off at one point driving the wrong way on interstate 5. officers rammed his car to stop it. they say the man was revg the engine when they shot and killed him. we have details about the rollercoaster accident that injured two people at great america. abc7 news has learned that a park employee is in critical condition and a rider injured his leg in addition to breaking a finger. park officials say an employee stepped into the path of the flight deck ride while retrieving a visitor's cell phone. the ride will stay closed as the investigation continues. >> still to come on abc news

arena. >> a really comfortable end to the weekend. live doppler 7hd is showing you a quiet picture. the big story over the weekend is really the relief from the heat. you remember back on friday it was warm to hot across the bay area. and then cooler air worked into the region over the past 48 hours. and on sunday afternoon we saw a 9-degree temperature drop in san francisco. 11 degrees in san jose and 10 degrees in oakland. the biggest change came inland. fremont dropped 14 degrees and concord dropped 22 degrees. santa rosa is cooler and redwood city dropped 9 degrees. out there right now temperature wise we are generally in the 50 usa cross the board. 56 in oakland and 54 in fremont. 52 in napa. 56 in san jose and livermore is currently checking in at 57. overnight we will see a couple of 40s pop up on the board. generally we will stay in the mid to low 50s overnight.

a southwest airlines pilot landing at oakland international so thed something unusual and potentially dangerous just before sunset. a large drone was flying pretty close to the airport. abc7 news reporter has the story. >> the crew of the southwest flight spotted the drone just before they landed. >> it is a really good sized drone between 2,000 and 3,000 feet. it did have a red beacon on top. >> in a statement by the f.a.a. spokesperson, it was a pretty big drone. the pilot of a 737 reported seeing an unmanned aircraft about five feet long and 2000 feet altitude. >> it was certainly too close to the airport. that's the bigger issue. the new rules now say you can't fly a drone within five miles radius. >> it landed safely within
