suspects and the motive is still unclear like it was in 2009. >> the acts of sabotage resemble what happened six years ago when vandals cut cables at four sites, knocking out phone and internet service to 50,000 south bay customers. at and t did not return our calls today but when it happened, the company told us and ordinary person could not cut these cables. >> again, now more of the same vandalism. >> it happened april 6th of last year. phone service was restored in a day, but the restaurant's credit card machine took a long time to come back online. >> when we lose a credit card machine, it's impactful. it's complicated for us. >> chris thought it was strange, a power failure.

it was not. someone cut the fiber optic cables and since that time, over the past year there have been nine other locations and five cities where cables have been severed. five locations in fremont have been targets the southernmost city, san jose. in most cases they were in underground vaults covered by heavy man hole covers. it's not known if the same people are responsible for the recent recent recent sabotage. >> the oakland is looking on the internet to launch an initiative in front of a wendy's where a teen was killed a year ago. the fbi is funding this campaign including new bill boards and a website listing dozens of unsolved murders.
