7 news. the warriors celebration was marred by an act of violence along lake merit just a few blocks from the post parade rally. an argument led to a shooting that injured three people would are in critical condition. the gunman has not been caught. this is exactly what everyone in oakland was hoping would not happen during today's high profile celebration. >> for the most part, though this is the image that oakland really wanted to show off. sky 7 hd showing an amazing crowd. everybody was having a good time. and for the most part again, peaceful as the fans celebrated throughout the nba finals really. laura anthony continues our live coverage right now. >> reporter: well, i'm right here by lake merit a lot of these folks that came out here still out here enjoying this area, the scenery here is beautiful. it's a beautiful day. oakland police estimate hundreds of thousands of people came here today to see this parade in person. a chance for this city to be in

several victims at this point several people have been hurt and it's possible that one person has died. take a look at this map. we'll let you know first where exactly this has happened in vallejo vallejo. it's at sonoma and red wood. seven people have been hurt. a vehicle plowed into a crowd. the extra lay we're told one person has died. we're working to confirm. you can see all the police and emergency vehicles lined up near the scene. and we've learned from one emergency agency an ambulance service says that the vehicle may have hit people at a bus stop. now, we've talked with county transit agency they will not confirm that but they do tell us they're sending someone to the scene. of the seven victims, we know three had to be be air lifted to the hospital. but again, we're looking at a total of seven people injured

a judge has set a $1 million bond for the man charged with shooting nine people in charleston temperature today the charleston. today the victim's relatives spoke with messages of forgiveness. witnesses say he was at a bible study when he started shooting. marci gonzalez has more from charleston. >> reporter: from the county jail where he's being held in isolation, dylann roof appearing on video before a judge. charged with nine counts of murder, one for each of the lives police say he took during the bible study he joined wednesday at a historic black church in charleston. >> we welcomed you wednesday night at our bible study with open arms. you have killed some of the most wonderful people that i know.

the upcoming fiscal year. the senate approved a budget of more than $115 million today. the budget is intended to send billions of dollars more to public schools and universities to lift working families out of poverty and stepped health coverage to poor children. the budget now heads to governor jerry brown who is expected to okay the plan. firefighters continue to face grueling conditions in the san bernardino county mntsountains. the flames so far charred 17 square miles since the fire broke out on wednesday. that fire threatens 150 buildings, most are cabins nearby camp grounds have been evacuated. >> firefighters believe in fire might get bigger. it's burned more than 500 acres. investigators believe a burning vehicle sparked it yesterday afternoon. the fire forced hundreds to evacuate including children at a church summer camp. the fire is 20% contained. two people are in the hospital because the cruise ship hit a canal lock in upstate this

morning. 28 others suffered minor injuries in the mishap right near the canadian border. the t.it began to take on water. crews drained the water with the passengers aboard and kept the boat from sinking, but the stepts extent of the damage is still being assessed. >> if they can repair the ship with passengers on board then the passengers will remain on board and continue on with the cruise. however, i'm leading to believe that there is enough damage to the ship that that probably will not the take place. >> the ship was carrying 274 french and swiss passengers and crew on a cruise from montreal to toronto. a stowaway on a british airlines plane fell to his death on a flight from south africa today. a second man survived the 11 hour flight. alyssa harrington has more on this bizarre story. >> reporter: the two member hitched a ride on a british airline jet. they traveled for 11 hours on an

8,000 mile flight. one of them fell. he allegedly plunged from the undercarriage. police believe the body is that stowaway they're waiting on tests to confirm. in a statement, british airlines writes we're working with the metropolitan police and authorities in johannesburg to establish the facts surrounding this very rare situation. rare but something the bay area has seen before. just last year a teenager stowed away on a flight from california to hawaii and survived. here he is would bellinghiding in the wheel well. a doctor we interviewed back then said the teen was lucky to survive. the air is thin and extremely cold. >> the vital organs don't need as much oxygen when the temperature goes down. so he was sort of in a staft suspended animation. >> reporter: that flight was only half the distance of this

mill mill peas today library. >> he's not used to the spotlight. he's a bus operator being honored by his employer and local leaders. exactly two weeks ago, he spotted a 3-year-old boy on his bus who was just taken from the mill pea tis library, with a stranger, the accused kidnapper. he slowed down his ride to give police enough time to meet him at the b.a.r.t. station where the boy was rescued and reunited with his family. since then tim has been overwhelmed by a grateful community. >> they just come up to me, shake my happenednd, are you that bus driver thank you, i have my own driver that rides the service. >> reporter: they also honored other officers and workers involved in the rescue, a kidnapping that could have ended

plus the day 40 years in the making, more than 1 million screams fans cheer on their warriors. ♪ we are the champions ♪ team coverage of the sights and sounds of the warriors parade and huge crowd. but we start with breaking news in vallejo where about half a dozen people have been hit by a car. emergency crews tell us seven people have been hit. you can see scores of paramedics working on the victims in this video. they tell us three had to be air lifted to hospitals and sadly one victim has died. you can see a tow truck at the scene. the driver of that truck tells us he saw the wreck happen behind him turned around to help and ended up pigging ingpicking up a car to help free one of the victims. the blapsambulance company says it happened at a bus stop.
