temperatures not all that different from yesterday. we do have cooler weather on the way for second half of your weekend. but notice 60s return in san francisco. 80s around the by a and more 90s. a 65-year-old man is free this morning pending investigation into a fatal collapse in valuelejovallejo. police a investigating when a man drove down a sidewalk injuring a woman and killing five others. >> says the speeding car jumped a curb, drove down a sidewalk and ran over his feet while he was waiting for a bus. >> i'm very lucky to be arrive at this time. >> three women and two children including a four-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy.

>> i heard all this screaming and the car aimed right at them. and there was no way they could get away it was terrible. >> police say the driver dragged two women under the car. a passing tow truck stopped and the lifted the car off the women. >> a lot of people i hear crying screaming. >> witness accounts that the 65-year-old driver was slumped over the wheel at the translate and took off abruptly when other cars starting honking. >> we're trying to determine whether it was under the influence of some substance or if this was a body condition. >> also in vallejo, a hit and run crash left a dog hurt.

this happened about a half mile from the accident we just told you about, where a man drove into a group of people. updates on twitter at abc 7 news bay area. >> two verdicts handed down. yesterday a judge found 41-year-old guilty of felony battery and simple assault. which is a misdemeanor. rising his bike and he had attacked a 57-year-old driver who he said clipped him. emotions over flowed in marin county after judge dropped all charges against james simon, who had been charged in a road rage shooting. the judge dismissed the case claiming evidence they ruled to simon was not presented to a grand jury. shot and killed a man who

followed him home in a incident last july. >> police say the suspect shot three men around noon near east 18th street. all three are in the hospital but expected to be okay. 6:04 is our time. funeral services for two of the iex irish sunttudents killed in the collapse. two of the seven others are expected to make a full recovery. janet o. has the latest. >> irish officials say they are thankful for all of the love and support pouring in from all over the world. that love can be felt at hospitals are seven of the injured are recovering. he thanked the hospital staff for their concerted effort and

you can see the sun over the city already. concord 57. we'll have a combination of 80s and 90s in our inland east bay. and another vantage point from mount tam where the marine layer is about 50 feet deep. and the numbers are going crank up once again from areas right around our shoreline from the east bay to the inland valley. if you head a little further to the east that is where you will feel the warm up. freemont, a pleasant day. and with the summer spread today, things will be changing tomorrow. high pressure, a couple of areas of them off shore. air flows from high to low pressure. but another trough will be dropping down and wrapping up the enshore flow tomorrow.

multiple stab wounds. he was taken to the hospital where he died. witnesses tell police he ahead gotten into argument with another man when the stabbing occur occurred. the second man was later arrested. and now the san carlos. a lady died after being hit by a garbage truck. they say the woman died at the scene. the wreckology operator is on the scene and they are investigating. >> credited with rescuing a young boy who was kidnapped from the mopetas library two weeks ago. >> tim watson is not used to be the spotlight. he's a bus operator being honored. tim was at the right place at the right time and did the right

thing. two weeks ago he spotted a three-year-old boy on his bus who was just taken from the library. the child was with a stranger, 23-year-old alfonse kennington. tim slowed the bus and gave them enough time to catch up and reunit hymn with his family. >> they just came up to me shake my hand. were you the bus driver? thank you. i have my own child and knowing they will be safe with us. >> the vta also honored law enforcement officers and others involved in the rescue. a kidnapping that could have ended so differently is now a chance to show what happens when everybody reacts in an extraordinary way. >> it's immediately clear just how significant it is.
