64 soak land up ander 70s san jose. necessary how far reaching the 80s are. we l. talk about when they come back into play and how long, chris. >> thank you. developing news out of antioch where police found a 46-year-old woman inside a home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. it happened on the 1300 block of d street. the woman was declared dead at the scene. other occupants of the residence are cooperating with police. officers were called to the residents yesterday afternoon around 12:30 on the report that someone had been shot. 5:01 is the time. a hunt for a freeway killer is underway in the east bay this morning. an unidentified victim was shot and killed while driving near east point. officers need to find out what led up to the shooting. we have the story. >> mary smith saw a massive backup on eastbound highway 4 as she approached pittsburgh. >> i wasn't going to take a

chance. >> she pulled over before reaching it. >> there was a shooting on the freeway. >> it sounded like they were on the far right side of the highway. and the victim went across all lanes and hit the center median. >> is that rightly after 3:00 people called 911 as the car traveled some 300 yards before crashing into the median. >> there are about three holes in the vehicle that we could find. >> chp shut down the driveway and the male driver was pronounced dead on the scene. >> only moved a couple inches every few minutes. it was terrible. >> it took elaine two hours to travel 3 miles. many people lost their patience. >> they were get ache aggressive and using the shoulder. >> the lieutenant said bullet casings shattered. there was no option but to shut down all three points. >> we are getting it cleaned up and collecting things for the family. >> at this point investigators

don't have a distinct description of the shooter or the shooter's vehicle. in pittsburgh, abc7 news. now to a search for answers in oakland. police want to learn more about the deadly shooting of a man by a security guard. it appeared after the two men got into a fight at international boulevard and high street late friday night. the trouble might have started with the guard asked the man to leave the gas station. detectives had been questioning the guard. san jose police are investigating after one person was killed and another was injured when a light rail train plowed into a car last night around 7:40. investigators believe the car turned into the path of the train as it headed south along the median of capital avenue. >> the vehicle had made an illegal left turn at maddon avenue and in the area there's not even a left turn pocket to make that turn. >> the car's driver died at the

scene. the other person was alert when they were taken to a trauma center. nobody aboard the train was hurt. police will look at cameras on the train to learn more about what happened. one vehicle killed one woman and injured five others. rose died at the scene and her four-year-old daughter was injured had a car drove on to a sidewalk on sonoma boulevard. there was medical in the car and the driver was at a medical marijuana dispensary before the crash. there is a service for the berkeley balcony collapse this morning at saint mary's cathedral. it comes one day after a service was held for two victims. a 22-year-old and 21-year-old of cousins and they fell to their deaths tuesday during a birthday party. we have more.

>> covering walnut creek, berm game and campbell and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. it. >> firefighters across the west will tackle not only wildfires but high temperatures when they get back on the fire lines today. several major fires are burning in three states this morning, including the 16,000-acre lake fire in san bernardino county. amount bc reporter rhino wins has more >> so much of alaska's builderness is burning. 85 fires searching the state and 35 homes have burned. blackhawks helicopters, the only way to get to many of the rugged acres. drought-stricken california isn't faring much better. look at the haze over the san bernardino fountains by los angeles. this is the state's largest

the playing field when it comes to uber and will lyft drivers. they pro toasted yesterday outside the mayors discussion yet. they suffered 42% pay cuts since the two companies started operations. uber said they made significant impact on local communities by delivering reliable and affordable options. and lyft has not responded to our calls. delays on highway 101 has called a call for toll lanes along the peninsula. the city-county association of governments has secured more than $167 million to look at different ways to ease traffic. some leaders see toll lanes as a way to speed toll lanes between san francisco and the silicon valley. others car it prices out middle class drivers. michael phelps appears he's

mount st. helena. visibility i noted 4 miles petaluma. and also half moon bay and temperatures are pretty comfortable, in the 50s. as we widen the view, there's a weak system to the north. and this is what will be increasing the onshore flow. you can see the circulation. it's an area of low pressure. energy pushing up well into the pacific northwest. and for us it does influence our afternoon highs bringing the temperatures down anywhere from 5 to maybe 10 degrees. but you are really going to feel that in the inland east bay. and lacrosser to the coast and around the bay not a whole lot of change. although oakland will be a few degrees cooler. 7-mile visibility there. and looking outside right now from our roof camera, looks pretty good out there. the winds are light. they will be out of the west-southwest today. 57 in san jose. 54 in morgan hill. san francisco sitting at 54 degrees. and another perspective, we're looking at temperatures around the bay in the 50s as well. 56 livermore, 54 napa and 54 by

the delta. southwest wind gusting to 30 miles per hour. so certainly a treat for our friends by the delta and our inland east bay. if you have been hot out there, the on shore push will be allowing temperatures to drop significantly. in fact, only numbers in the 80s out by brentwood and antioch. and perhaps livermore today. mostly cloudy for most of you, although it is still clear in our inland east base. so cooler highs today for father's day. and the summer solstice is at 9:39 this morning. with 14 hours about 46 minutes of day light, it should be a pretty nice afternoon. we will see about the same situation tomorrow, as the marine layer still will be with us. but there's an area of high pressure in the south. that's going to expand. so for the middle and second half of our work week temperatures are really going to warm up. in fact, we will see highs quite warm in our inland east bay. not as warm as we were earlier in june when we had the heat

day, a cool day and fog now across parts of date. >> cooler because it was quite hot inland yesterday. may be more comfortable for the dads in our inland east bay. still plenty of sunshine. yesterday we had a good kiel of high clouds to start and then things got sunnier and pretty pleasant. it wasn't too breezy. but at the coast today we will have the clouds once again. in fact it will take a little longer to clear. the low clouds and fog have not made it quite into our inland east bay. here's a look at a system up into the pacific northwest that's affecting us today. in fact through tomorrow as well with cooler afternoon highs. and beyond that high pressure builds in from the south. we are going to be back to some very warm numbers. but not at the coast many it's not an offshore flow. we will have the wide ranging summer like temperatures. and today summer arrives in just a couple of hours. here's emeryville. pretty cloudy. 56 right now. with 10 degrees of warming today we should see mid-60s in our

near east bay shores 54 morgan hill. starting out at 55 with four mile visibility in half moon bay with 65 there yesterday. and here's mt. tam. if i step out of the way you can just see the sun coming up there. the official sunrise about a minute away. 53 in napa 54. that southwest wind cranking up to near 40 this morning. that means a cooler afternoon for you today. in the 80s by the delta. but i don't think we are going to see any 80s for our inland east bay. you will feel the cool-down, especially over the east bay hills today. cooler for father's day, and that summer solstice, 9:00 39 this morning. it will be pretty nice again tomorrow as things stay status quo. the heat returns for the second half of the work week. so it's going to be in response to this system that moves out of the way in the next 24 to 30 hours. and the high down here that is baking southern california. the desert, that continues
