katie? >> good morning. nearly 14 hours. this ended peacefully. no one was hurt. i show you the crane 930' up where the man was perched. there was a crane operator up there a few moments ago testing it and probably cleaning the inside. i want to show you video of the man descending from the crane. he left a white bag halfway down the steps. it is an easy walk to chime down. it would appear police met him at base of the crane. that is where they were all morning communicating with him by a bullhorn. san jose police officers cuffedded the man and he was yelling to the camera ands group of reporters and he was saying i want to talk with you. however, the officers put him into a patrol car a peaceful end to a station situation that started at 8:30 last night when the man broke into the construction site. we are showing footage of him when he was awake. he yield down at the police and he was smoking cigarettes and he

drank from a large water jug that already in the christian. he climbed outside the cab and walked loan the top of the crane so there were tense and scary moments. officers say he does not appear to be in the area and admitted using drugs which seemed to be the case from the movements early this morning that were erratic. 100 construction workers were told not to come in today. this is a large construction scene that is otherwise not working. not operating. they shut down the power to the crane so the man could not operate it. we spoke with a construction worker not affiliated with the job site said this could be costing the developer hundreds of thousands of dollar this delay. depending on what work was scheduled to be done. all in all the good news is no one was hurt. it is costing a lot of money. my colleague will be following up with police to see what kind of charges this man could be facing.

>> thanks. new developments the supreme court will not issue a ruling on same-sex marriage until thursday. they are expected to overturn same-sex marriage bans in michigan ohio, tennessee and kentucky. they could released the decision today but will not come until thursday or possibly next monday. curt's summer recession begins next week. the supreme court issued some ruling this only including a victory fore california farmers. the court struck down a program that lets the government take ambassador raises from farmers to reduce supply and increase certain prices. the justices have to decide on a case involving affordable health care act or obama carry. a large wildfire in lake tahoe is still out-of-control near a town with a number homes. the forest service said the washington fire is near the california and nevada border and started friday night. it went from 75 acres to 8,000 acres this morning.

coast where you can see the cloud cover as we look from emeryville back to the coast into san francisco and we will have upper 60s, mid-to-upper 60s around say richmond berkeley oakland at 68 and we will hit the low-to-mid 70s on the peninsula and the bayshore line and upper 70s to low 80s headed into the south bay and upper 70s to low 80s in the north bay and low-to-mid 80s inland east bay. that is going to be the coolest day, today but as we head to tomorrow, we are going to jump one-or-two degrees and we will do the same on wednesday but thursday and friday you really need to watch out for that, we are going to have the temperatures jump into the upper minute to triple digits inland and in the 80s around the bay. we will still have the comfortable 60 at the coast on thursday and friday. headed to friday and saturday temperatures fall back another five or ten degrees so weekend warriors not so cool as last week but not as warm as thursday and friday. >> nice job in spite of your
