cal fire has responded to 25 wildfires in just the past week. to the midwests now a dozen tornadoes have been reported since yesterday morning, six of them in illinois. this is a picture at the devastation left behind an southwest of chicago with four spent being sent to the hospitals. four tornadoes were reported in michigan, one in iowa and one in kansas. anyone who uses mineta san jose international airport could be affected by a city council vote whether ride booking companies like uber and lyft can expand their operations at the airport. our reporter, matt keller is there. >> san jose calls itself the capital of silicon valley but often innecessity sprays like uber and lyft are left behind at the airport. those companies are not allowed to pick up passengers at the san

jose international airport without a permit and the city council is look at permitting the transportation companies like uber and lyft. san francisco was the first to localize the transportation network companies. sfo started a pilot program in october of last year and that program is coming to an end and san jose city staff said sfo feels stricter regulation are needed of uber and lyft and others. they said san jose could lose a quarter million by not allowing the services. in a memo, mayor liccardo and vice mayor and city council member want to approve the transportation network companies for a one year pilot program and they want finger printing and background checks and requiring a business tax license and other safety purrs. the city council is scheduled to look at this issue later this afternoon. >> good news for drivers would
