in 2 1/2 the united states supreme court could issue the ruling open several states same-sex marriage ban. janet o is in san francisco's castro with more. >> many legal experts expect the supreme court to vindicate marriage equality which means an even bigger celebration here in san francisco in the castro district for pride weekend. among the 36 states in which same-sex couples can marry are 20 where judges invoked the constitution to strike down marriage bans. those ruling would be in conflict with the highest court if justices uphold power of the states to limit marriage to heterosexual couples. officials in california are determined to allow gay and less beach -- lesbian couples to marry in matter what the court decides. we will watch what happens this morning with the supreme court and bring you the latest.
