>> it's saturday june 27th. good morning. thanks for joining us i'm chris nguyen. let's take a look at the forecast with meteorologist lisa argen. hi lisa. >> chris, good morning. we are looking at the low clouds and fog. trying to make their way across the bay into the livermore valley. we have them banked up across the coast. but it's cloudy here at sfo and no delays yes the. temperatures on the mild side in thetic land valley. partly cloudy livermore, 57 in petaluma and the cool spot 55 in napa. the fog will retreat, but notice the high clouds today. it will be more of a southerly flow that continues to cool the inland areas off into the

mid-80s today. look for 70s north and south bay. partly cloudy skies san francisco and oakland. we will talk about a cooler sunday. we will look when the heat returns coming up. >> lisa, thank you. we begin with developing news now. san jose police are investigating a homicide this morning. officers say a 17-year-old was shot at around 10:20 last night. investigators say the young man died on the sidewalk. we've had several calls from abc7 news viewers saying there's a large police presence still at the scene. investigators have yet to identify any possible suspects. >> now the big story on this weekend. the supreme court's landmark ruling that defines a constitutional rights for same-sex couples to get married in all 50 states. cheers and celebrationsñr as the hard fought battle for marriage

there is fog and high clouds that will influence our high temperatures today. and that means cooler conditions. it's been very hot western nevada and the fire danger continues with the possibility of die lightning today as thunderstorms could creep up into the sierra nevada, the mountains. here's a look at our marine player from mt. tam. the sun 5:50 it rises. 8:36 it sets. it should be a nice day in marvin. san francisco, partly cloudy skies on tap. upper 50s in san jose and half looking at 55 morgan hill. 60 in oakland. and so far no delays at sfo. emeryville now some clouds around. 57 in bet huma. concord, you are clear at 60. a few clouds filtering into livermore. and once the clouds pull back it will twin to reveal the high clouds and that's due to a system offshore that is the

culprit in cooling us down today, stabilizing things for the second half of your weekend. look at that. a nice view of vollmer peak. mt. diablo temperatures are more in line where they should be this time of year, in the 80's. the cooling tense to spread inland today. near average temperatures for tomorrow. so we will be within the range that set up today. gusty winds will arrive along the coast today. and the heat will return early next week. in fact, we are talking triple digit heat again. but once again the coast will remain cool with widespread low clouds there. so not an offshore flow, which is good news. here's the culprit again. a huge area of high pressure starts to shift a little to the east. but the return flow around that bringing up the higher clouds, instability and the showers and thunderstorms for the sierra nevada that's why we have the red flag warning there. we will continue to see the on shore flow allow for the cooling.

half past the hour on this saturday morning. glad to have you with us. i'm chris nguyen. we are in for some nice weather throughout the weekend. here's meteorologist lisa argen, she's tracking the conditions where you live. >> it was so hot yesterday by the delta near triple digit heat. today significant cooling there and it's due to the mainland higher clouds and afternoon highs as a result will come down significantly in the inland east bay. 57 in san jose. oakland is at 06. 40 san francisco. we are looking at six mile visibility at the coast. look how much cooler it is since this time yesterday. 11 degrees cooler and that's due to a southwest wind. even in livermore, though, 7 degrees cooler. we are looking at a couple degrees cooling around san carlos, and 5 degrees cool ersan hose. there is lake tahoe. clear now.

southwest into the delta. and so from this camera shot you can see the high clouds there at the bay bridge 57. santa rosa 58. fairfield. and you notice the cool-down here in the east bay valleys a few clouds into livermore this morning. we are out of the triple digits, out of the 90s and into the 80s. this is vollmer peak and from time to time it shows us a nice shot. about right now obscured from the high clouds and low clouds. cooling spreads inland today. here's tomorrow for the second half of the weekend. high clouds and get hid of the fog and more sunshine. the heat returns into early next week. a big jump again in the temperatures in our inland valleys, while the coast stays comfortable, still in the 60s. so radar and satellite composite shows the area of high pressure pushing into the east. and as it does that, the circulation around the high, bringing up some subtropical moisture.
