>> this is amounts bc7 news. >> good morning everyone. thanks for joining us on this sunday june 28th. let's start with a quick look at the weather with our meteorologist lisa argen. >> hey carolyn, good morning. hi everyone. check it out. you haven't seen this in a while. live doppler 7hd the green on the screen represents some moisture in the atmosphere. we have moisture coming up from the southeast, some tropical moisture. you may notice how muggy it feels outside. much of this is not reaching the ground but we are take you on a tour starting in the north bay. sprinkles around 1301, santa rosa up to heelsburg, and into hercules and most likely in the east bay. looking at perhaps a few light

sprinkles this morning. then we will be looking at conditions drying out once again. the wide perspective shows the heat and the red flag warning for the sierra nevada. and back home inn francisco everyone is in the 60s plenty of cloud cover. you are right, if you think it feels muggy we will thin out the cloud cover in the morning hours and see some sunshine. but once again the fog is banked up along the coast. we will talk about the particulars in a few minutes. >> the world famous san francisco pride parade will step out in just a few hours. it's more joyous this year because of the supreme court's ruling on same-sex marriage. a shooting yesterday here the civic center pride party has put some people on edge. here's sergio quintana with the story. >> police moved in to clear market street because the bink party ended two hours earlier than usual this year. safety has become one of the main concerns with these events. this is.

other states but all across america. >> the supreme court decision strikes down the gay marriage ban across the country has set a triumphant new tone. ♪ ♪ >> in san francisco sergio quintana, abc news. >> sergio mentioned the huge number of people in san francisco this weekend, but the large portion coming from this morning's pride parade. these are scenes from last year. president of the golden state warriors is this year's grand marshal. there will be a heavy police presence throughout the parade really. goes from market street to beil street to 8th street. bart is running extra trains and there will be extra ferries to get you in and out of the city. the pride parade ends at the civic center where yesterday the lgbt community took over the streets.

wooden beams had severe dry rot caused by moisture and said the building was up to date on all inspections >> firefighters moved quickly when a wildfire raced through dry brush in sacramento late yesterday afternoon. flames destroyed a barn and threatened homes near the sacramento international airport. >> it is a fast-moving, wind-driven fire. we want to make sure nobody has been injured. it's a very explosive situation but fortunately we got aggressive. >> and even with that fast response the fire grew from five acres to 100 in a short period of time. firefighters advised, but did not order nearby residents to leave the area while they fought the fire. new this morning, law enforcement officials report a tri-county task force has seen a huge amount of marijuana plants during the raid in the heart of northern california's emerald

triangle. more than 86,000 plants were seized during the four-day raid. cash weapons and thousand it is of pounds of pot were recovered. they used 500,000 gallons of water a day. at least one professional business expert said thumbs down to the latest stadium proposal for the raiders. part of the deal called for the raiders to sell a 20% stake in the team to the developer. they also said they would get no money from housing, retail space built on the property. the raiders are also considering a return to the los angeles area. that's where they played electric 1982 to '94. you can buy fireworks legally in fewer and fewer places around the bay area as many cities have band the practice. today residents can go to newark to buy so-called safe fireworks leading up to the 4th of july.

for their lives. fire officials say flames were sparked by an explosion of theatrical powder that was sprayed in front of the stage in front of a crowd of about 1,000 people. most of the victims were burned on their lower body. chilling new video. you hear the moments police shot and killed a gunman in tunisia on friday. they chased the marin around a hotel resort where moments earlier they say he opened fire on tourists sitting on the beach. at least 38 people are dead. isis is claiming responsibility. british officials are calling it the most significant terrorist attack on the british people since the transit bombing back in 2005. witnesses say the gunman disguised himself as a tourist and hid his rifle under an umbrella and laughing during the attack. tourists scrambled to leave the area.

in south carolina yesterday, two activists who were arrested for removing the confederate flag from the state house have been released from jail. the flag was hoisted back up. calls to remove the confederate flag has been renewed since the deadly church attack last week. a business owner sacramento county said he's had a death threat because he's flying a confederate flag. he owns a gun shop in elk grove. the flag flies outside the front door t wasn't there before friday. he and the employ' decided to put it up after national businesses such as walmart decideed to ban the flag. >> all this just over a flag. if we want to really look back at it, then why are we -- why are people having a problem with my company or this company flying this flag when there are other people who are tearing

marine layer. live doppler 7hd and check it out. it's the subtropical moisture being pumped out over this area of high pressure that's drifted off to the east. some of this it has been reaching the ground up in sonoma county and a little bit into the east bay. we will see maybe a few more sprinkles before things begin to dry out. so as we head up into the north bay, we can see the live sweep on top of mount st. helena, and this is where we are looking at the best chance of some of this sprinkle activity for you this morning. from highway 1 through st. helena and also down near santa rosa looking at some light shower activity, perhaps maybe a sprinkle over into the american canyon i-80, notice hercules martinez, and then things kind of evaporate and dry out out toward concord. we will still leave the possibility for maybe an isolated sprinkle through the morning hours. and then it's back to the same old, same old.

here's the sierra nevada where we have a red flag warning throughout the day today as dry lightning continues to be a possibility as we look at this moisture circulating around the highs. a live look outside. look at the mild numbers from 64 degrees in mountain view, 59 in morgan hill, 6 is 11 san francisco. and from our roof camera you can see some breaks in the cloud cover with temperatures still in the 60s here. a muggy start out there. but things will get a little back to normal throughout the afternoon. overall, yep, anywhere from 2 to 6 degrees warmer than we were yesterday. it's all due to the moisture in the air. emeryville right any, your forecast highlights calling for the muggy and mild conditions this morning. partly cloudy this afternoon. more sunshine across the bay into our east bay valleys. and then we are going to gain 10 degrees tomorrow on the afternoon highs. another 10 on tuesday and wait until you see the seven-day outlook. here's another look at

it's a bit muggy right now. lisa argen along shortly with weather where you live. a bay area man got a pretty good scare recently when the stove top grill erupted in sparks. turns out there was a hole in the gas burner. michael finney came to the rescue and the story doesn't end there. >> richard loves cooking on his blue star grill. if only he didn't have to worry about another blast. >> i was preparing the grill to cook dinner, and all of a sudden there was a shower of sparks. >> he looked at the grill top and there was the problem. >> i discovered there was a big hole in the gas burner. >> he shows us that hole. a good half-inch around. he said the heat had shorted the igniter, sending up the sparks. >> the next day i called the company. >> blue star replaced the burner immediately, and richard started grilling again. however, four months later he

said it's happening again. >> it was beginning to feel like the first one. you could see the ripples beginning to develop. >> he's showing us the new gas burner. it looks worn in the same spot as the old one. >> at that point i was sufficiently alarmed. >> richard wrote a detailed report and send it to blue star and to the retailer, ferguson enterprises. he also notified the consumer product safety commission. >> the only people who called me was the consumer product protection agency. >> an investigator came and took his report saying it seems the problem is indeed happening been the cpsc has taken no further action. richard still worries about the grill so he contacted "7 on your side." we contacted blue star, and it tells us their stoves are safe saying there is no defect and no safety issues caused by the stove top griddle on the ranges. all are designed to meet the

area and it's brought sprinkles up toward sonoma and the east bay and will be shut off the roast of the morning hours. but you can see around here heelsburg, here's our sweep. and you will notice that there is moisture up in the atmosphere. we are looking at the possibility of this sprinkles over through fairfield, i-80 and then things kind of evaporate the further south you get. we will look for this to be in the forecast in the morning hours. subtropical moisture. but then the winds will shift and we will look for the on shore push. a pleasant day today and stays hot in the here they have. dry lightning may exist there. you take a look outside and you notice the cloud cover is a little bit different this morning. 54 mountain screw, 54 morganville and half moon bay. san francisco 61 degrees. that's because we have a decent marine layer and high and

mid-level clouds. 63 on cord livermore, and everyone experiencing the muggy conditions and temperatures way warmer than we should be this morning. and it feels a little bit sticky out there. this is a pretty shot a couple minutes ago from vollmer peak. right now muggy and mild. partly cloudy this afternoon, sunnier to the toward the east bay valleys. about 10 degrees warmer tomorrow for some of you. and then another 10 degrees, the warmest day should be tuesday and wednesday. our water vapor imagery measures the moisture in the air. this shows a better perspective for you. after today the high pressure ridge over the four corners builds again. and that will grip much of our east bay valleys for the rest of the work week. so it will be coolest today. enjoy that because we will be looking at this week shunted off and high pressure building again over the golden state. as it nudges to the east, that's why we get the moisture from lake county through the northern
