caring firefighter gear like these firefighters did today at san sanborn park. now a look at the intense training. >> to combine the hot weather and the potential of illegal fire work fires this coming 4th of july weekend that's why firefighters are training in this oppressive heat. they say this area where the 1985 lexington fire started is ripe to burn again. >> it was 98 degrees. this is what firefighters do to refresh their skills and learn new ones to stop many fires from spreading. >> everyone was setting pretty good. it's a good test and getting acclimated to the weather is good in this controlled environment. >> the training is realistic, wearing heavy weight gear and protective masks. they can easily get over heated dehydrated. fire hoses had to be laid.
