breaking news is happening in the oak canland hills where a bush fire is burning near castle drive. the fire broke out just before 4:00 this afternoon. there is a lot of smoke in the area. castle drive is next to joaquin miller park and near the chabot space and science center. drew tuma says winds are gusting as high as 25-miles-an-hour in the to area. no structures are threatened. sergio quintana is on scene and will have a live report at 6:00. right now we have live picture for yous.

a great time. great weather great city. >> the city built the three mile parade route as the longest in the u.s. and draws more than 20,000 spectators in the bay area. abc7 news was in redwood city as the stanford band marched in the parade. it started at 7:30 this morning with a breakfast and a prayed run. there will be a concert and fireworks show later tonight. this is the 77th year for this event, one of the largest on the peninsula. in the north bay thousands of people showed up for the 51 them annual corte madera holiday celebration. after the parade there was live music, arts and crafts, senders and games at the town center. abc7 news reporter lessly brinkley is live on the

in turkey, incredible video of a baby girl being rescued from the ocean. the ten-month-old was in an inflatable crib when strong winds and currents pulled her a half mile to sea. he parents didn't realize she was gone until other beach go we ares told them. the coast guard arrived and she was pulled out of the water. the baby was not hurt. unbelievable. an upset in new york city at nathan's hot dog easting contest. matt stoneie upset joey "jaws" chestnut. both men are from san jose stoneie downed 62 hot dogs and buns beating chestnut by two
