tonight in the shooting death of a woman along san francisco's waterfront. >> tonight abc7 news has just learned where the gun used in the murder came from. i'm dan ashley. >> and i'm ama dates. abc7 news reporter vic lee was the first to break the news that the gun police say francisco sanchez used in the deadly shooting belonged to a federal agent. tonight we know which agency jie. abc7 news reporter -- abc news reporter cornell bernard has the details. >> they just confirmed the bureau of land management is investigating if one of the guns used was in the pier14 shooting. the gun may have been stolen from the land management employee's car but right now it is unclear if it was their personal weapon or a government issued service weapon. >> where did the gun come from? >> they have questions about where the murder suspect francisco sanchez got the weapon. police say he used it to kill kate steinley. but sources tell abc7 news

accused of possessing and distributing child pornography. police say he had more than 600 images on his computer. >> he was the face of subway and the inspiration for many americans struggling with his weight. jarod fogle lost 200 pounds eating subway sand witches and -- sandwiches and now he is potentially losing his job with a child porn investigation. >> jarod fogle, the subway guy, trying to avoid the cameras too had as the fbi agents and the state police spent several hours raiding his indiana home. searching the mansion with a k-9 unit and removing the computers and the other devices and taking them to this mobile forensics van parked in the driveway. but officials declining to say whether fogle is a target or if his residence simply housed equipment they want to see. >> we figured he likes to remain private. so it is weird seeing this going on. you wouldn't expect it out of a family like that. >> reporter: two months ago

russell taylor the director of fogle's charity was arrested after investigators say he had hundreds of sexually explicit videos involving minors. at the time fogle best known for the face of the subway sandwich chain saying thisy were severing ties with taylor. >> this is my story. >> tonight subway is issuing a statement saying subway and gerald fogle have mutually agreed to suspend their relationship due to the current investigation. lyndsay janice abc news, new york. the search for a baby missing in shasta county for nearly a week has been called off now. her father reported the six-month-old was abducted from her crib, but investigators can't find any evidence to support that. they say it is hard to believe because the property has guard dogs and his trailer door needs a screwdriver to open. his story also keeps changing apparently. the father is considered a person of interest. >> it took -- it took three days hard work the at sea, but a whale

is free of entanglement. the crew was trailing the whale. it was spotted on friday. a boat line was wrapped around the head and fin and threatening its life. the fight to save the whale started on saturday and continued up the coast to the islands where the crew freed it today. >> and on land one mountain lion has been spotted in san francisco. that's rare in the city. the surveillance camera captured this image of a big cat last week. look at that. animal care and control says it has been many years since one has been seen in san francisco. this one appeared to be headed south. it was first spotted twice last tuesday at sea cliff and presidio and then again on wednesday. it was not far from city hall. last friday was the last sight ings near lake merced. it is very odd in the city of san francisco. next on abc7 news at 11:00 , a touching tribute tonight for a local vet who has

precious momentos and they are desperate to get them back. ryan and carrie brady tied the knot and spent $3,000 on a professional photographer. our media partner, the bay area news group reports that five days later someone broke into the photographer's car and stole the camera with all of the pictures. it happened outside starbucks in hercules. the bradies set up a dropp box account hoping they will up load the photos. we have a link on abc7news.com. jim shot video of two whales fro fro -- from the roof of his home. it happened near seal rock at ocean beach. it is unclear what type of whale they are but it is currently humpback and blue whale migration season. well, if the east bay tonight a well known country singer headlined a backyard this evening. cold ford was there as part of a contest to identified -- to identify his biggest fan. but from livermore tonight's show turned out to be a lot more than that.

flood watch and if you have travel plans and in the bay area the temperatures are quite comfortable. upper 50s to the low 60s in many parts. it is going to remain a bit on the muggy side for the bay area. and we are starting to see the southwesterly wind picking up. it is gusting to 33 miles an hour at fair field. so soon enough the cooler marine air will continue to advance and it will feel back to normal again in a couple of days. for now though from our ks plor for yum -- for the exploratorium area spotty drizzle the next two mornings, the temperatures will continue inland. the highs are in the low 80s for the inland communities. it will remain dry as we will head toward the week end. we are watching an area of low pressure that has been keeping the coastal temperatures mild. the ocean water is warm. it is going to push inland.

as it does we will see the mild conditions tomorrow, and it may squeeze out a little bit of drizzle. and watch out for the thunderstorms like i said. the next couple days and the spotty drizzle for the morning commute as we head toward afternoon and look what shows up thursday morning at 5:00. it looks like more widespread drizzle and then in the afternoon hours we will be watching for the potential for a thunderstorm developing near the clear lake area. it is just a chance on wednesday afternoon and again on thursday afternoon. tomorrow morning starting out mild inland and the numbers will be in the low 60s in parts of the bay as well. upper 50s along the coast. when you are driving to work you may need to turn the wipers on with the drizzle. you may need a little more time for the commute if you walk to bart. keep in mind you may feel a few drops out there. tomorrow afternoon 86 if clear lake and the best klans of thunderstorms there. 77 in santa rosa and napa and 67 in san francisco. half moon bay oakland 70
