court. police found bodies of a 19-year-old woman and 21-year-old man. police believe he killed her then himself. the young woman is identified as a cross country runner and honor student that just finished her first year of college. police say she and the parent shooter had been dating. an investigator tells there was no indications things like this may happen calling both upstanding members of the community. >> well, tonight we're learning about the man accused of murders in modesto this weekend. martin martinez accused of killing his former girlfriend, three little girls and his mother. we have new information today melanie? >> reporter: that is right. there is a lot of love at this growing memorial. especially for 6-year-old

elizabeth. her biological father expressed concerns about martinez last year. after cruz and martinez were both stanislaus county employees. martinez is a stock delivery clerk, responsible for transporting materials county officials confirmed he has a job though he is expected of killing his girlfriend, mother and three children one of his own. today, abc7 news obtained documents suggesting amanda cruz's ex-husband, showing home video was concerned cruz's new boyfriend, martinez was dangerous. riply posted a similar message out of his door yesterday, suggesting he killed his daughter yesterday and son, last year. police confirmed 2-year-old christopher died in 2014 from blunt force trauma while in martinez's care. a forensic specialist gave police the information still, for two days police

didn't arrest martinez. >> at that time there was no indication that there would be any violence within that family. there had been no calls for service at that location. >> in those two days martinez is suspected of killing five family members. in modesto, abc7 news. >> martinez is being held at san jose not for the weekend massacre but earlier death of his ex-girlfriend's 2-year-old son christopher riply in october. melanie mentioned just days before the weekend killings a medical expert ruled christopher's death was a homicide, not an accident police have considered martinez a possible suspect, but they waited until after the mass killings, two days later to use what is called a ramsey warrant to arrest him. >> it's an unusual police procedure, but done for two reasons, to see if he'll talk,

but to get him off the street particularly since this second incident occurred. >> the warrant gives police until thursday to hold martinez without filing formal changes. >> police arrested a man accused of robbing a wafrng in san francisco. this morning police say this man demanded money from a clerk. he said he had a gun. the clerk handed over some reason and the police arrested the man minutes after the crime. >> and a new sweet home temple was broken into, thieves took a 70 inch tv computer, tablet, dvd duplicator and possibly more. the pastor says it was a violation of privacy. >> being a blind pastor i'm here majority of the day by myself. i don't know if these people have been watching me going in
