>> in word this morning as to why a man stood up inside a louisiana movie theater and started firing. two people were killed. nine people were wounded. the theater is in lafayette. the gunman then shot himself. police have not released his name. they said he is 2358-year-old white man. it happened during a showing of "train wreck." moviegoers were seen running from the theater shouting for director life." >> i thought it was a prank. my reaction then, when people were running out, i grabbed my child and we all ran. >> conditions of the victims range from non-life threatening to critical. police say the shooter had a criminal history and believed he lived outside of louisiana. >> president obama is offering his thoughts and prayers to the people of lafayette. he is being updated on the investigation as he begins a trip to kenya and ethiopia, the

are running in the upper 70s to mid-80s down in the south by. as we move up the peninsula we will be in the my 70s to low 70s. along the coast, with a little bit of sunshine today low-to-mid 60s with mid-to-upper 60s around downtown, south san francisco, and sausalito. how about mid-to-upper 70s through the north bay and santa rosa at 80 and berkeley is cool at 68 and low-to-mid 70s for the rest of our east bay and low-to-mid 80s inland east bay neighbor to 87 in brentwood. now, we will talk about what is going to happen down in gilroy. it is going to be the gilroy garlic festival. and drew is down there, so stick around for a few more seconds. the weather is not spicy. it will be 85 on saturday and 81 down this on sunday. from 10:00 to 7:00.

who is battled 1,200 more fires this year than average and the number of acres burned is less. it is largely due to an increase in firefighters and aircraft. thanks to officers state funding after the drought emergency was declared last year. >> we have amazing video of bystanders and police working together to lit a car off an injured motorcyclist in dallas. if this camera however, a car turns from the left lane into a female motorcyclist and she is pinned under the car. a first attempt at using a jack doesn't work and officers firefighters and bystanders pooled their strength and lifted the car off of the woman would was gasping for air. she suffered only minor injuries. >> the water district cut their water use by 35 percent compared to 2013 but the savings between january and june are only 22 percent. that means the district is still short of the 30 percent goal
