cost inland and we will drop down to 60 at the coast and toasty at 7:00 inland and 90 the air conditioning will be, welcoming hard this afternoon. we will find out if you will be working hard. as we get out the door, here is a look at the san mateo bridge across the water from hayward to foster city that a 13 minute commute and not too shabby with a little bit of construction in the eastbound direction until look. we have a new accident though, southbound 880 is up to dakota road and involving a few vehicles blocking one lane and we do not have delays just yet to get you across the dumbarton bridge it will only take you ten minutes so not too bad. if you compare the two they are running at top speeds and drive time traffic 101 santa rosa to petaluma 580, westbound, castro valley to the maze and 101 northbound from 280 so 680 to 85 all is president obama so you are running at top speeds. >> developing news, a devastating discovery last note by santa cruz police.

the body of 8-year-old madyson middleton was found after a lengthy search. our reporter is in santa cruz with the details on the arr >> matt, much of the apartment complex has been roped off and now part of a crime scene. investigators are still combing through the evidence inside the garage. it appears the coroner is now here on site getting ready to transfer maddy's body. before 8:00 p.m. last night detectives discovered the 8-year-old madyson middleton's body inside a dutch step in the gar -- inside a dumpster in the garage where she lives with her mother. it is fought clear if the body was here the whole time or moved there at a later time. she was first reported missing from the property on sunday evening while playing with friends. family and friends were very distraught and emotional when they hear the news she was fund but not in the way they hoped. another family is greening after

their son was arrested suspicion of murder. police are not saying how and why and the evidence they had against the 15-year-old. he now is being questioned by police. here is how a neighbor described the teen. >> very well-spoken and a kind manner. it is shocking. a shocking situation. >> police are interviewing several witnesses. they say there is only one suspect in this case and they will hold a news conference later this morning regarding this investigation. you can see the investigators are out here getting ready to wrap up and the coroner is getting ready to move the body and take maddy to the coroner's office. there is planned vigil this evening and community members will be outside the apartment complex where flowers and balloons and candles remain

outside in honor of 8-year-old madyson middleton. >> janet, thank you. you can despend on abc7 for continuing coverage of the death of madyson middleton and our coverage continues on twit twitterattwitter@abc7newsbayarea. >> this was a test drive from hail with a bizarre kidnapping, a daring escape attempt and wild pursuit. amy hollyfield is in concord with more. amy? >> yes, what a wild and terrifying experience for the salesman that started at dealership on willow pass road in concord. it involved three east bay cities. this started here in concord and that is where the test drive started and it went to a home in pittsburg and the salesman escaped in pittsburg but in antioch police say they finally caught the suspect. here is what happened. police say a man wanted to test drive a cadillac and the

dealership made a copy of his driver's license before he live with the car and the seasman. authorities say the suspect stopped by his home so the family could see the car and they left the house that is when investigator say the tone changed. he started drivinger rat chicago and announced this was a robbery. they slowed for traffic the salesman was able to jump out of the cure -- car and called police. the crash helped in antioch. police have not released information of the suspect not even his name. the salesman is said to be shaken up but okay. thank you. happening today sonoma county supervisors will form a preliminary office that provides civilian oversite law enforcement officials. according to the press democrat this will be the first program addressing miss community relations since the death of andy lopez the 13-year-old shot and killed by a sheriff deputy

in 2013. there will be director appointed. >> the suspect in a weekend freeway shooting has surrendered after an accident was investigated when they heard gun fire in the area of the marina boulevard off-ramp. officers followed the sound and found the victim identified at 37-year-old man from berkeley. the suspect and the november knew each other. the suspect is currently in san leandro police custody. >> the wind is blamed for a grass fire that destroy add home's at tick and garage with two power lines pushed together causing a transformer to blow burning debris spread to a dry field and the flames quickly reached the home where firefighters were able to stop it from spreading any further. the fire caused about $100,000 in damage. >> a map is recovering from

injuries suffered in a brushfire in pittsburg. it started yesterday afternoon when someone tried to jump start an off-road vehicle. firefighters hit the fire from the ground and air and reached it from the homes. it scorched 37 acres. >> secretary of state john kerry and two other cabinet members face questions from congress of the iran nuclear deal. they will testify before the house of representatives foreign affairs committee which comes amid a new cnn poll that fines 52 percent of people want congress to reject the deal. 44 jersey want it approved. opponents say the agreement will not prevent iran from developing nuclear weapons. >> another union in the middle of negotiating a new contract has voted to authorize a strike if talks are stalled. nearly 90 percent of the members of international federation and professional and technical engineers representing the middle managers voted in favor

congress ended the bulk collection of phone call information but the n.s.a. still has records dating back five years. the agency director said starting at the end of november the records are not used in terrorism investigations and will be destroyed as soon as possible. >> a washington state bicyclist caught his own hit-and-run accident on the camera and it could help the police. the bicyclist approached the intersection and the s.u.v. slammed into him and the driver is caught looking at the cell phone. bicyclist understandably was upset. >> i was angry he pulled out in front of me we collide and he flees. like wait i could have been seriously injured. they should throw the back at him. not cool. >> crash left him with road rash on the leg and injured wrist and he has been hit before which is why he had the camera in the first place. the driver would hit him later turned himself in and could face

in from the desert southwest putting the storm track to the north and here is what it does to the temperatures, triple digits in gilroy 98 in los gatos, and low-to-mid 90s for the let of the south bay with santa clara at moot and santa cruz at 84 and 90s on the peninsula from redwood city south, and mid-to-upper 80s san mateo and millbrae and low-to-mid 70s along the coast today and upper 70s to nearly 80 for downtown south san francisco and sausalito and low-to-mid 70s at bodega bay with a light breeze in the afternoon. that will keep you from reaching 80. low-to-mid 90s most of our inland north bay neighbors until you get to closer detail and use skia at 100 and 82 in richmond and berkeley is 84 and oakland is 85 and 91 in fremont and castro valley at 92 but that is nothing compared to full on triple digits inland and pleasanton at 100 and brentwood at 85 degrees. if you are going to the game, it is going to be mild tonight.

from santa cruz where a 15-year old boy is in custody in connection with the death of 8-year-old madyson middleton who went missing on sunday. police believe a body found in a dumpster is hers. janet o is in santa cruz. >> right now a coroner is here on the scene and you can feel the activity hype us, it appears they are ready to transfer the body from the garage to the coroner's office. investigators have been here all through the night work on gathering evidence in the tragic case. a little more than 24 hours of a 8-year-old madyson middleton was reported missing her body was discovered in a dumpster in the garage of an apartment complex where she lived with her mother here at the tannery. police have yet to say if maddy's body was in the dumpster the entire time she was missing or if her body was moved there at a later tie. the the good rage is near the mailboxes where she was last
