the loss of an innocent child. sources say maddy was sexually assaulted and strangled. she was killed in the suspect's apartment. police say the suspect tried to hide the body in a recycling bin in the parking garage. surveillace camera show the boy making trips to the bin which led detectives to do a more thorough search and they discovered maddy's body concealed under boxes. she knew the 15-year-old teen and trusted him. the 15-year-old boy contemplated suicide and wanted to see how people would react to the murder. many are in shock and disbelief including the boys and girls club where she attempted the summer. the kids expressed theirgraphy through art and have counselors on happened to deal with the tragic news. >> there are a hot of question from our youth mostly why did this happen? how could someone do this? those are tough questions to

you what it is like from the east bay. it is clear. it is light. we have a pressure fire. this is off of highway 24. in the westbound direction. near pleasanton hill road. flames are visible from the freeway and it does not appear to be slowing down. from walnut creek through lafayette to orinda we are moving along at top speed and hopefully they can get the fire under control and out as the commute continues. 680 is looking to slow down a bit the closer you are to highway 24 you can see some tail lights. however, it appears the traffic is light. so far. >> 4:40. now the latest view of the fire burn along the north side of highway 24 in lafayette with traffic backing up westbound. at the bottom of the screen you can see the crews have arrived
