shooting. police are not releasing much information. they are not confirming anything. a short while ago we saw a group of residents russia and crying on the sidewalk. they left. police are blocking all intersections. they will be here for some time. they say we will be provided with more information not too long from now. that is the latest. >> develop news in lake county crews say rocky fire activity is unpredictable and growing. it is now burned 52,000 acres. it is putting more communities in danger. some redens in spring valley are ready to leave. the firefighters can not give them a definite time to leave because of shifting winds. the fire is entering new territory. >> we see the fire activity pick up. it is hard to speculate. it has been a very dynamic fire

very quiet start to the morning around the rocky fire but as i look at the forecast you can see by noon we are at 78 degrees and at 3:00, it will be most difficult at 82 degrees and 40 percent humidity with winds from the south at 10- to 15-miles per hour. temperatures fall back to 59 and humidity is 88 percent and the winds are calm to three miles per hour and tomorrow is going to start getting hot again at 90 and 29 percent with the winds lighter so it is a catch 22, it is hotter and the winds are slower, the winds are cooler and the winds are faster. 101 has in fog 79-85 inland east bay cooler than average and temperatures are close to normal at the coast and san francisco and not so bright 65 to 70s and thick are high clouds are rolling across the bay this afternoon, at 72 to 79 headed to san jose and santa rosa and speaking of san jose waking up mainly clear on 87 temperatures are warm the next two days and they drop right back off on

frustrating with firefighters saying it is different than anything they have seen before. the fire is so big the smoke is so bad that every afternoon it is bad and there are so many firefighters here and so much help and just having a hard time knocking it back. the fire has destroyed 24 homes and more than 13,000 people have been evacuated and some of the evacuees say they have done this before but this is the first time they have felt afraid they could lose their home. it is a cooler morning and we are wearing jackets and were not doing that yesterday. this is no wind, all of those are good for firefighting and they hope they will be able to make some progress but they worry of the afternoon weapon the winds whip up and anything could happen. >> we saw drama year thank you. >> the fire brought out the best

>> a woman suspected of intentionally setting more than a dozen small fires near reading is in jail after arresting tracy webb for starting 14 fires along highway 299 near old oregan trail. no fire caused significant damage with no word on a possible motive. armed thieves posing as pizza delivery men tried to problem a family although the victims never ordered any food. this sketch based on descriptions by the victims is of the man who posed as a delivery person on sunday. the 19 year old answered the door and refused the pizza. show shut the door and the delivery land and two others burst in. one grabbed the mother and covered her house to quiet her screaming, the dad ran in and the suspect took off. we believe the suspects picked this family and targeted them for victimization. >> very surprised. >> the suspects did not take anything from the home and

believe it was isolated. >> oakland police officer is in stable condition after a second surgery after he was shot in a shoot out. the suspect died after the sergeant and another officer confronted him at martin luther king jr. way around 1:30 this morning. year police were at a home as part of a sexual assault investigation. a pan came out carrying an assault try people and shot at the officers. the wounded officer is a 14-year veteran of the department. >> you are watching security cameras that led to an airbnb bust. a woman forced her way into a looked room and stole $35,000 worth of items. the woman was identified when the homeowner town over security video. she new is in custody. airbnb say incidents like this are rare. >> the san mateo deputies are being hails as heroes for

rescuing a man from an oncoming caltrain. a witness posted the incredible video on youtube showing deputy escorting the driver away from the car after he crashed into a crossing arm. they walked away the the man fell. his partner jumped on the track and waved to train to slow down. those precious seconds allowed them to pull the driver to safety. >> this is what we like to do, in the right place at try time. >> in time to be scared. it just happened. >> authorities believe the driver was under the influence and suffered minor injuries. mining, it looks like we have less sun. >> high and mid-level clouds that will dim our sunshine and bring cooler conditions to the rocky fire.

firefighters have temperatures of 50 with humidity at 94 percent and the winds are three to four miles per hour and the smoke moved north yesterday and i expect it to do the same today as winds come from the south and they are going to gust up to ten or 13 miles per hour during the evening hours and fall back to calm conditions so good firefighting weather and it looks warmer as we head to thursday. you can see the mid-to-upper level clouds legalling go of the virga which is rain that will help evaporate. we will not feel that. i kept it from the forecast, 79 to 85 inland, east bay, where it will be warmest. that is cooler-than-average by five or six degrees. the coast and san francisco, 65 to 70 and 72 to 79 in the bay and north bay and the golden gate bridge is all quiet. temperatures warming wednesday
