fire. that could change today. large fire has burned 69,000 acres. it now is 30 percent contained. so far, 43 homes and 53 outbuildings have been destroyed and another 7,000 structures are still threatened. thousands of people have been evacuated. firefighters have been encouraged about holding the line for a second straight day and having a couple of days to slow and cool down the fire. >> crews will patrol the lines to make sure there is no hotspots. from what i can see, they are putting in good work. >> if the flames do not flare-up they could have full containment by monday. >> an east bay man faces charges for a string of arsons. 29-year-old james william wilson set fires in 11 cities in contra costa county along the highway 24 and highway four corridors and along marsh creek road starting in april with some as

friday and china over the weekend bringing damaging wind and heavy rain. the winds have been clocked up to 180 miles per hour making it the strongest typhoon this year. the western pacific base inhas been hit with a total of continue typhoons. >> workers will treat a second algae bloom unlike the one that kept the lake off limits since june 30, this does not appear to be toxic. officials expect rules of tests on the latest bloom by tomorrow located in north oakland next to the intersection of highway 13 and 24. >> some san jose residents will have a high-tech tool to conserve water. a display like this will show how much water you are using. the mayor liccardo and other city leaders showed an app developed by water smart with the software comparing your water use with similar sized households and businesses helping you see if you are a water hog. it will day because next month in areas served by san jose's municipal water system.
