live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> develop news on the massive overnight fire in a building on mare island in vallejo. officials say it could be days before investigators can start looking for the cause. >> thanks for joining us. >> this is the second fire in a career at the alco metal company on highway 7 at mare island. amy hollyfield it is not safe for firefighters to search the rubble? >> can you believe that? this manhours after the fire and they do not want anyone side including fire investigators because pieces of the building's frame are falling. it is not safe. they do not know the cause of

the fire. this is one of a few complications that have popped up from the fire. >> look what vallejo firefighters faced weapon they pulled up to the warehouse before midnight. it was is huge they did not try to go inside. a good decision considering the roof collapsed after they arrived. the enormous three-alarm structure fire was not the only fire to face. >> it threw embers in the air. that started continue different spot fires in the grass fields behind us. >> firefighters worried what was burning in the recycling warehouse and what they were breathing. >> canisters of used oil and numerous tanks, including propane tanks and batteries being recycled. after they put out the flames firefighters wore masks deeding with hotspots. curious resident whose stopped by, were surprised by the smell.
