police a searching several blocks looking for the shooter. we have a crew on scene. we will bring you more at top of the hour. >> three men from northern california have received highest honor in france, spender stone and alek skarlatos were neighboring growing up and san antonio sadler goes to sacramento state from the east bay. the three were recognized this morning in paris for their bravery in thwarting a train attack. >> the ceremony at presidential palace in france, three american friends received the highest honor, the legion of honor, oregon national guard alek skarlatos, college student anthony sadler and airman first-class spencer stone and a british businessman were honored for their selfless acts of courage on paris-bound train. last week the three friends made a decision to stop a gunman. >> we saw him cocking the ak-47 so it was do something or die. >> stone showed a lack regard for his own life advantage into

action. >> we hit the ground. alek skarlatos came up and grabbed the gun and i put him in a chokehold. he just kept putting more weapons. the gunman nearly severed the hand of stone but that did not stop hip from giving first aid to the british businessman. the gunman has been identified at ayoub el-khazzani from morocco, on a security watch list after spanish law enforcement told them he had ties to islamic extremists. a lawyer for ayoub el-khazzani said he is not a terrorist but a homeless man what wanted to problem the train. >> french authorities can locally hold ayoub el-khazzani for questioning until tomorrow. they will charge him or let him go. >> on wall street, it could be another roller coaster ride as markets plunge overnight. china's main index lost 8 that percent wiping out the gain.
