the storm has been getting weaker. it will pass about 200 miles northeast of the big island and maui. residents and vacationers are likely to see rough surf and strong rip currents. in the pacific northwest, residents returned to cleaning up after strong wind storms. two people were killed by falling trees or tree limbs over the weekend. thousands lost power. most have had service restored. and officials say all major and secondary roads are now clear of fallen debris. let's get the complete forecast from accuweather's molly cochran. good morning, molly. >> thanks, phillip and reena. for monday, we're looking at localized flooding across florida. flash flood watches in effect from tampa into orlando. until monday night. we have erika's moisture just being funneled into the sunshine state. over the next couple of days, the rain could add up. two to four inches between tampa, orlando, and jacksonville.

prepare for some pretty heavy travel delays, as well. meanwhile, we keep an eye out on hurricane ignacio. phillip and reena, back to you. >> molly, thank you. breaking overnight, two southwest planes clipped each other at the airport in oakland, california. passengers posting alarming photos to social media. you can see there, the top part of one wing is broken off. southwest says that both aircraft have now been taken out of service to undergo a maintenance check. no one was hurt. passengers were put on later flights. and a security breach at newark liberty airport forced the shutdown of a busy terminal. a man was taken into custody after he entered a secure hallway through an exit door. terminal "c" was then evacuated and searched by dogs, leading to

dozens of flight delays. a spokesman says that the man was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. the suspect in the ambush of a houston deputy sheriff is due in court today. shannon miles is facing charges that could bring the death penalty. the suspect killed deputy darren goforth in an unprovoked attack. the deputy remembered last night as hundreds of people marched to the gas station where he died. the two journalists shot to death on camera have been remembered at a community memorial service. alison parker and adam ward were killed by a former co-worker last week. funeral services for ward are set for this week. alison parker's family says a celebration of her life will be held sometime in the future. thousands turned out for a memorial service for three firefighters killed in the line of duty. the u.s. forest service fighters were battling those raging wildfires in washington state. more than 80 vehicles took part in a procession leading to the service. others held u.s. flags and signs that read you are heroes. they died nearly two weeks ago after their vehicle crashed and flames rolled over them before they could escape. police in atlanta say there is no suspicion of foul play in the death of a fan at an atlanta braves game.

the 60-year-old man fell about 50 feet saturday night from the upper deck to the seating area below. it happened in the seventh inning of the yankees-braves game. he landed near an area where the players' wives and families sit. a doctor was nearby and immediately went to help. >> out of the corner of my left eye, i saw -- something fall from the upper deck. like everybody else, you're in a state of shock. the adrenaline kicks in. you really don't think. >> he says he hopes he never has to witness something like that again. the long-time season ticket holder is the third fan to die at atlanta's turner field in the last eight seasons. major change in alaska ahead of president obama's visit to the state today. the white house announcing that m mt. mckinley is now drks denali. alaskans had been informally using the name for years.

delays likeliest in miami. the family of a hiker missing for more than a week says she's recovering after surgery on her broken leg. >> the 62-year-old hiker was missing for nine days. she was discovered saturday in a remote area of the sierra national forest. she blew a whistle to get the attention of the rescue team. her family was relieved and excited when they heard she was found. >> they couldn't stop screaming and crying. they were all in a car on the way up here. >> the more than 100 rescuers were also hampered by smoke from a nearby wildfire. with broken bones and huffering from hypothermia, it took her two days to crawl to a creek to sustain herself. tributes pouring in on social media overnight following the death of wes craven. he gave us "nightmare on elm street" and the many sequels. he wrote the entire scream

how is the weather? leyla, good morning, everyone. the next three hours it will be quiet. we have clouds building along the peninsula coast and maybe drizzle. otherwise, it is going to be quiet. golden gate bridge, winds at less than ten miles per hour right now, starting with mainly sunny conditions when the sun comes up at 6:39. upper 50s to mid-sick. it will be a touch warmer today and not so breezy. by noon, we are in the mid 60 at the coast and low 70s an the bay and inland is around 80 and at hurricane we top out stay in the mid-60s at the coast and mid-to-upper 70s at the bay and mid-to-upper 80s inland. now, more news with kristen and eric. >> destructive fire breaks out at a school in the santa cruz mountains. it is believed to be "suspicious." matt keller is at the elementary in los gatos, were the kids at school today?

>> classes have been canceled for the 500 or so students at loma prieta and the campuses were not touched by the fire but where they hold music and art and gym were impacted. here is a picture from cal fire santa cruz county, the flames when they arrived at 11 o'clock last night, a second alarm was called because of the size of the fire and the threat to the buildings. a sheriff substation, the loma prieta school district facilities and fec support and the community meeting room were destroyed. fires kept the fire from videoing to the gym after cutting holes to the roof to less the heat and smoke escape. but that will remain standing and could be used in the future. art and music is held at the community room. several musical instruments and ipad and other computers were destroyed. firefighters will be here all
