crystal springs area east of 280 and south of 92. they upgraded it 20 minutes ago and called in for more fire support and fighting with an air tanker. water from the reservoir is used to douse the flames. if you have any pictures please post that for us with # #abc7newsnow. then you can share it. the fire has reached a watershed so that is a break. hopefully it is under control. >> more breaking news, a judge in san francisco has ordered the map accused of killing kate steinle at pier 14 to stand trial for murder. 45-year-old francisco sanchez is charged with second-degree murder with the death of kate steinle july 1. this case triggered a national debate on immigration because he is an undocumented immigrant from mexico who has been deported five times. we are joined from the half

justice with the latest. >> cheryl, lopez has maintained he shot kate steinle but he claims that he found the gun at the pier 14 and handled the gun and it went off accidentally. the question was in this case: should he stand trial for murder. the jam said "yes." the d.a. argued that lopez sanchez should not have had a fowl long in his hand. the judge will allow the jury to consider one of three things: second-degree murder, manslaughter or acquittal. second-degree murder carries 15 years to life and add to that 25 years because of the use of the gun. voluntary manslaughter, second option, carries two, four, or six careers and ten more years because of the gun. steinle, 32, was shot in the back walking with her father along the waterfront.
