>> a temporary home for hundreds of those evacuated with services coming today to the shelter in california oakland and how you can help people survive the week to come. >> thanks for joining us. i am kristen sze. >> i am eric thomas. we want to get right to the latest developments of the valley fire that grew a little overnight to 62,000 acres a thousand more than yesterday's total. >> one person has been killed in the fire and four firefighters were injured and several people remain missing. 585 hoes have been destroyed and 9,000 structures are still threatened. we have an updated look at the area of the valley fire and you can see it video north from middletown to cobb and boardered by healdsburg and calistoga to the south. >> our coverage continues now with amy hollyfield at middletown which has been exextremely hard hit.

we kickoff with matt keller at the valuation center in calistoga. >> some insurance companies are setting up shop to help people file claims after they lost everything in the devastating valley fire. people here are helping others and help animals including horse owners. our reporter is in middletown with more on that aspect of the story. >> evacuation orders are still in place but authorities know people are anxious to check on their property and their pets and some people have been allowed to come in and see this devastation. they know that people want to see their pets. they king do allow them to check on their animals. pets is lib deck were left behind during the (tick evacuation and this has been a huge concern since the fire protect out on saturday. where are the animals? are they getting food and water in facebook pages have been set up dedicated to helping evacuees find their animals or find temporary shelters for them. animal rescue groups and local feed stores have been pitching in. >> we are trying to help with the effort to get hay to the areas that is taken on the mores and live stock throughout the devastation of the firestorm. >> i want to help. i have always wanted to give back. being a village, being a
