police arrested frank cook saunders. this happened on north san pablo avenue at 6:40 p.m. yesterday. officers used surveillance footage to help track the suspect down.

three santa clara county correctional officers accused of beating a mentally ill inmate to death. a judge set their bail at 1 $1/2 million a piece. >> reporter: tense in a moments of three yexal offices waited to see if they'll be free on bail. matthew breaker argued for keeping the men in jail. >> but the judge went the other way, setting bail at 1 $1/2 million each.

>> the suspect pleaded no contest today to an earlier home invasion in dublin. matthew muller was charged with battery, robbery and assault. no contest plea is treated by the court as a plea. he did not contest the charges. he'll receive concurrent time for whatever time he gettings in sacramento in the federal case. mull beryl is expected to be charged on monday in sacramento and he'll plead not guilty, according to his lawyer. >> a man was formally charged with murder today. juan sanchez will be back in court in december.
