of the weekend. i'll detail the record-break forecast potentially come up. chris. >> lisa, thank you. breaks news overnight. one man is dead and another charges with dui after an accident on 580 in oakland. it happened just after midnight in the westbound lanes near the lakeshore off-ramp. a driver carêmed off a wall and went into a construction crew where they were paving the roadway. a subcontractor working for was struck and thrown approximately 100 feet. the driver of the car was not injured. this morning some encouraging news for residentsful middletown who had been evacuated. they will be allowed back into their homes starting at noon today. evacuation orders have also been lifted for twin lakes and rancho sendero. some people have already returned home. and lake county officials say they will provide escorts today to areas where evacuation remain so people can check on their

animals. this includes hidden valley lake, cobb and anderson springs. it comes as the fire continues to burn. it's now spread to 73,700 acres, but containment is now up to 45% as firefighters slowly take the upper hand. and schools in middletown could reopen next week. abc7 news reporter alan wang tells us the evacuees at the fairgrounds can't return. >> news they can go home as nerves are beginning to frey at the evacuation camp. >> emotions are running wild, fights everywhere, and we are anxious to get home. >> they could use a morale booster. especially when the mustangs are supposed to be playing their homecoming game. >> going out there friday night and the lights, everybody loves it. >> but a pile of face mask, is all that's left in the burnt-out equipment shack. in 30 years the coach has build

a san francisco house where a mummified body was found has been sold. in april police found items stacked slow to ceiling, including the corpse of an elderly woman. she died several years earlier, but her daughter kept living there. the property has just sold for $1.5 million. happening today, an army of volunteers caring brooms and garbage bags will be cleaning up the coast and the event carries a bit more urgency this year. it's the 31st annual cleanup day and there are many ways you can help clean up waterways, creeks and shoreline. organizers worry that winter storms will goff tons of garbage into the san francisco bay, as well as the pacific ocean. last year volunteers across the state picked up over 1 million pounds of trash and recyclables. weather-wise, we are in for a really warm day? >> yeah. >> at&t park going to be busy

bones. the rest were made with the help of a 3d printer. another scientist made an amazing discovery at a housing site in wisconsin. this is the nearly intact fossil of a whale that could be up to $1 million years old. our media partner said on september 4th they found the first fossil and continued to uncover the rest. scientists said it's not unusual to find whale fossils on a hill because of earth plates and shifting plates. they believe it can teach they will a lot about the evolution of whales. >> artists are gathered all over san francisco this weekend for a major painting marathon. this isn't happening inside a studio, it's taking place in 16 city blocks around the mission district. the artist have started creating masterpieces on walls, fences and even garage doors. unlike graffiti tigers, they have permission to spray paint.

it's the 12th rabid bat found this year. if contacted with the bat you have to receive vaccine within hours afterwards. 24 illnesses have been reported around the country to listeria and there's been one death in ohio. karoon dairies in san fernando recalled these brands. the company said so far none of its products has tested positive for listeria, but it issued the recall after the dcd and fda informed them of a link to the illnesses. 5:37 is our time. man who came up for coliseum city to keep the team in oakland has been dropped from the project. according to our media partner, floyd and his plan are history. his negotiating rights to the
