out "always remember madyson middleton," the message her father was sending while the accused killer was inside the courtroom. the defense attorney for adrian gonzalez answered a "not guilty," for the 15-year-old and two months after being arrested for the murder, kidnapping and sexual assault of 8-year-old maddy middleton in santa cruz. outside the courtroom a rally for maddy middleton organized by her dad, with her picture and messages "love you," and "sweet angel." the father said he has forgiven the kill and stayed outside during the court hearing. >> it doesn't do anything for me, it doesn't change anything, it don't give me any satisfaction. i would rather have been out here for her and that is what is important to me. >> this has resulted in the tragic loss of two kids from our community.

as charged, our 15-year-old client now finds himself in adult court without the benefit of a fitness hearing. >> gonzalez' court appointed hearing wants a fitness hearing to determine if he should be in adult or juvenile court. the district attorney said they are follow the law and will of the california voters in preceding with the case in adult court. next hear is october 29 and he faces life if prison if convicd. >> happening today, police patrols are visible around numerous berkeley schools and teachers remind students of safety after a man tried to lure girls and lure them into a minivan on friday. janet is here with more. >> many people have heard ascout the squarey situation at berkeley school officials and the more who know the better in case the guy may strike again.

francis on this historic trip. >> look this morning at the aftermath of a large home explosion in texas with little of the home remaining, explode asking catching fire at 8:00 a.m., damaging nine other properties. three people were hurt, authorities say the explosion was f up to 10 miles away and the cause is under investigation but it is believed to have been sparked by a natural gas leak. >> if you have an iphone or ipad, apple is saying this morning up to 39 chinese apps could be compromised with malware capable of tricking customers to open dangerous websites including the mobile chat app we chat used by an estimate 600 million people. the breach is believed to be the first of its kind. customers are advised to upgrade to the latest version of apps to minimum sure they do not contain the malware. >> meteorologist mike nicco is ahead with the forecast, hopefully, some cooler days
