part of their work. republicans want a full investigation looking into nonprofit, its practices and how federal dollars are used. this is on the heels of a series of undercover videos leaked by the pro life group center for medical progress that allegedly shows planned parenthood employees discussing the illegal sale. the bill is likely to clear the house by a wide margin. president obama is unlikely to sign off on any bill that cuts money off from a woman's health organization. >> developing news one month after an inmate died inside the santa clara county jail, another inmate has been found dead. a male inmate was found passed out in his cell 10:30 yesterday morning. they could not resuscitate him. his name or cause of death has not been released. at the same jail a month e ago, three were arrested for murdering an inmate.

he died from blunt force trauma and internal bleeding. two are expected to enter pleas next month. a third is expected in court next week. the north branch will e reopen after a bedbug infestation. crews finished treating the building yesterday and will reopen at 10:00. officials closed the branch on friday after bedbugs were found in three locations inside the building. out of precaution, we'll check out the other branches this it thursday. bedbugs were found at a palo al to branch as well. the warriors journey to defend their nba title begins today with training camp. we are live in pleasant hill. fans can't get enough of them. >> reporter: it is time for the sporting goods store to move the warriors gear up to the front of the store because you know the fans will be ready to buy their warriors t-shirts and get ready

the first preseason game is next week in san jose. the season doesn't start until october 27th. but the team says it is ready to go. will this be the last season in the east bay? that's something we'll be watching carefully. there's a fight to move the team to san francisco. there's also people pushing to keep the team here in oakland. that will be an interesting addition to the season. but for fans, they are ready to e see some basketball. they are going to start practicing today. reporting live, amy hollyfield. there's been a quick response to a new site for the warriors arena in san francisco. critics of the current mission bay location are proposing it be built a mile to the south along third street near peer 80. the golden state warriors hope to build the arena in the next few years but traffic and congestion would endanger people needing to get to three hospitals near the current

proposed location. the backers said the opponents don't speak for the neighborhood and certainly don't have anything to do with the warriors. they want the mission bay property for themselves, the statement said, and that's not going to happen. happening today 49ers linebacker ahmad brooks is scheduled to appear in court. he's accused of sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman at a party. both were indicted last month. brooks remains under contract with the 49 rs. happening today president obama plans to meet with the cuban president in new york city. this encounter comes as the two go about the long and complex process of normalizing relations after decades of animosity. in december both leaders agreed to restore diplomatic relations. the u.s. recently eased rules for citizens who want to visit or do business in cuba. two innovators from the bay area are among 24 people who received genius grants from the

this morning the extreme sports community is mourning the loss of one of their own. eric roaner died at squaw valley. he was a north bay native. cornell bernard talked with some of his hometown friends. >> eric rhoner is being remembered as a daredevil that broke all the rules of extreme sports. this was one of his best relaxing in a lawn chair suspended by balloons. he shoots out the balloons and plummets with a parachute. growing up in the north bay, friends say he never forgot his hometown roots. >> it's hard to beat this. >> reporter: eric would go anywhere in the world as long as there was a mountain he could jump or fly off of. his videos are legendary. he was doing extreme stunts wearing wing suits flying through the alps before popping

another inmate died at the santa clara county jail. matt keller is live in san jose with the latest. >> reporter: the sheriffs office is following protocol for deploying detectives and contacting the district attorney's office and the medical examiner's office as well. in this case, we still don't know the cause of a man was found unresponsive around 10:30 yesterday morning when staff started cpr. fire and par to the jail, but he was pronounced dead just after 11:00 a.m. this death is receiving greater scrutiny because of another death a month ago. three deputies are accused murdering a man. two deputies are out on bail and are expected to enter pleas next month. the third deputy is scheduled for a bail hearing today. the sheriffs office says it will release more information on this latest death once they notify

the family and learn more about what happened before this man was found dead in his jail cell. reporting live, matt keller, abc 7 news. a jury found the death of an inmate earlier this year was to natural causes. hamilton died on april 25th at the west county detention facility. the cell mate hit the emergency button. she died from aa potentially fatal inflammation in the abdomen. >> police spent the night at the scene of a shooting that left two people dead. officers say their gunshot detection system fired four shots. they arrived to find two men dead inside a car. no word on suspects or motive. police are asking the public's help in tracking down a man who has been missing since sunday. the 39-year-old was last seen around 3:00 sunday morning. police say he may have visited a

casino somewhere in the bay area. he has black hair and brown eyes. if you have seen him, you're asked to call daily city police. killer bees have made their way into the bay area for the first time. researchers found the bees in lafayette near the southeast side of reejal park. you don't need to be concerned. this breed normally is no more aggressive than average bees, but they can swarm and turn deadly when the colony is threatened. some parents say killer bees one more thing to be aware of while enjoying the great outdoors. >> there's snakes and other things that can hurt them. it's just another thing you add on to your list as a parent. >> on the rare occasion of a swarm of bees coming after you, cover your face and run as fast as you can until you're inside. don't jump into the water because killer bees will actually wait for you until you come up for air. >> amazing.

good morning, it's 5:52. twin peaks camera view of san francisco. a gorgeous shot. i think we just got an accident there. a federal report will be released about medicare and how it racked up millions of dollars of ambulance rides that never took place. the inspector general's audit found the agency paid $30 million in 2012 for ambulance rides for which no record exists. another red flag, some urban ambulance services got paid for an average distance of more than 100 miles per ride. the national average is 10 miles. the findings show l.a., philadelphia, new york and houston accounted for half of the questionable rides and
