perfe perfect -- from earlier in the day. we're seeing light returns but most is east. here is what is going on. we've been seeing this moisture streaming in from the southwest, moving northeast. that is going to continue. rainfall totals 5/100ths in san francisco. concord, 4/100ths, oakland, 1/100ths in san jose. half moon bay, 3/100ths. santa rosa, nothing. taking a look at the next several hours, more showers are going to develop. and you'll need to pull those umbrellas out again. i'll take a look at the time line of the showers and what we have tomorrow morning coming up. the rain is partially to blame for accidents on the highways. the patrol tweeted out it lost count of how many. the chp tells us abc7 news

the apple store or google play. tonight details on the inmate who died in county jail monday. david louie was the first to tweet out the autopsy results for walter rocha. there is no signs of foul play or injury. he was the second inmate to die in custody in the last month. officials say they followed procedures but he won't leave his cell. he died on the 8th floor. tonight an outpouring of grief and support for a young artist shot and killed. antonio ramos was killed while working on a mural designed to promote nonviolence in the community. ramos was killed near the place where he was painting in a free overpass along west street abc7 news is live in west oakland tonight with more on the story. laura? >> reporter: we have seen a steady flow of people here at this growing memorial.

and have talked with the artist working next to ramos when he was shot. the artist told us there was no altercation. just a brief conversation and then a they came to the spot where the 27-year-old was shot and killed. >> he went out on the top of, you know his game. as far as, you know, the thing he wanted to do with his life. >> there was no, no, active violence between him and my friend. >> reporter: javier is the lead artist for the mural project. ways right above ramos on scaffolding when it happened. he told us there was no argument, just a few words exchanged between ramos and the

antioch. the 51-year-old is expected to be required to attend therapy and wear a gps tracking bracelet. but the house is in a quiet neighborhood where children live. a public hearing is scheduled for friday morning at 8:30 in martinez. an uber driver has been charged with identify theft after allegedly taking a wallet from a passenger who fell asleep on the ride from san francisco to berkeley. the passenger apparently dozed off with her wallet and phone in her lan and found out not only had she been overcharged but her cards had been used at stores throughout san francisco oo. could there be a cat killer in cambria? we showed you a video of a cat being snatched and tonight a new development. it's a strange and disturbing

story. >> reporter: this is beardsby the cat. unlike go go, beardsly was found, but killed. the vet says not by a coyote. here is the video we showed you last night. 17-year-old go go the cat lounging monday night last week. a car stopped by the house. the cat napper gets out. he approaches go go, who tries to escape. slowed down by age, go go can't run fast enough. the catnapper snatched him and takes off. >> he was so sweechlt i don't understand why anyone can do this. >> reporter: go go's owner received a lot of e-mails since the story. seems now, like quite a few cats have disappeared from the district where go go lives. this cat vanished. >> he disappeared on saturday. he hadn't been away from home

more than a day in years. >> there has to be a connection do we have a predator? >> reporter: janet's 15-year-old cat she believes was abducted. he was last seen sleeping saturday morning. mckinney alerted a microchip registry. monday, someone responded saying he found a dead cat. but her husband went to the spot. it was a gruesome discovery he found him in a box, in between two driveways in a cul-de-sac. he had plastic around him and and rocks on the box. a necropsy found he died from blunt force. >> it was fast. and he probably didn't feel anything. >> reporter: one last thing. when he was found he was missing

and meteorologists are forecasting a strong el nino. you may remember one el nino caused big problems for esplanade avenue. >> reporter: this is a popular spot not because people are keeping an eye on the cliff but because i'm told there are about six whales out there. still, there have been some chatter regarding the cliff, the rain, and el nino. this is a unit next to the apartment complex that was red

tagged years ago because of the eroding cliffs. >> i was left here, this apartment. i am not sure so much. >> reporter: the sandbags have never been taken away. the pipes are still here, no one has lived in the building since deemed unsafe several years ago. the storms in the high tide eroded the cliff. with another el nino weather pattern expected this winter, the city of pacifica is proposing to tear the building down with the one next to it. residents were invited to a hearing to weigh in. the director of the planning department did not respond to our calls. many here support taking it down quickly. >> it's more concern to me that it will fall and go into the ocean. that is not good, either. >> reporter: boulders have kept erosion to a minimum but some fear with the building gone, the cliff will continue to erode.

>> i continued to live here until they tell us to move out. >> reporter: some predict that may happen sooner than expected because of the potential sea level rise from climate change. most folks are eager to see the rain return. here is a video showing why. it was shot this year at folsom lake. we picked up a quarter way through. you can see how the water level is just dropping. folsom lake is just 18% full. the second lowest of all time. this rain does nothing for the drought but helps a tiny bit, we hope. and hoping for more rain. >> do we have more days like this still to come? >> we have chances. and a couple opportunities sunday, then, again next week. middle of the week.

so let's check out live doppler 7 hd. it's great to see the rain, when right now, quiet pictures here. the rain shifted off but there is still more moisture. about 30 miles away from the bay area. so do expect more showers. it is raining in the truckee and ta he area. this is because freezing levels are high, about 13,000 feet but they will drop tomorrow, which means a mix of rain and snow is expected. take a look at this shot. i love how the sun's rays reflect on the bay. half moon bay, 63 degrees. san jose camera showing you a cloudy view. numbers into upper 60s in santa rosa and napa and livermore. this is a nice view of it from our east bay hills camera, you're seeing peeks of sun

there. scattered showers through morning. sunny, warmer friday and a slight chance of showers sunday morning. satellite radar showing what you is going on here. this cold front getting closer to us. subtropical jet stream feeding in moisture. not all has been hitting the ground but we have seen showers which have been welcome. more showers are coming in overnight tonight. then, going into morning commute. here is a look at computer animation. tonight at 7:00 just cloud cover. could be misty and drizzly at times. by 10:00 p.m., really the showers becoming scattered as' we head towards morning commute. a few spots you'll see damp roadways. just be prepared and have umbrellas handy. we'll see more showers developing but over mountains into early afternoon. here is the second system. saturday night, it comes down from the pacific northwest. it's a cold low, limited in

russia. >> reporter: in a potential game changer in the war on isis, russia conducted air strikes in syria, saying isis military equipment and communication centers were hit. some believe the targets were forces in conflict with syrian president al assad. >> we must not and will not be confused with support for assad. >> the united states was only given an hour's notice before the air strikes and not given exact locations of where it would take place. >> fighting isil without pursuing parallel transitions only risks escalating the civil war in syria. >> reporter: republican senator john mccain says he believes the purpose is for the russian president to gain more influence in the region. >> these strikes, near the city
