broadcast center. >> now at 11:00, a black eye for the santa clara county sheriff's department. two more correctional deputies are under arrest accused of breaking the law. good evening. i'm natasha in for anna dates. >> i'm dan ashley. alan wang is live at the jail in san jose with new information, alan? >> dan, the sheriff's don't says these are two separate investigations that happened before the death of inmate michael tyree. his death triggered the arrest of three deputies and now two more have been booked into the jail where they both worked for more than a decade. r santa clara county deputy is accused of illegally using a criminal database. >> he had access for work-related issues, but he used it for personal issues. >> no details were given on sawn sawn -- saunders case. he was arrested for workmans comp trod. they say he was really injured

playing softball. >> this was unrelated to our recent powered we had within the jails. these investigations were months in advance. >> three other corrections deputies were arrested for the beating death of inmate michael tyree. another inmate died a week after he was forcibly extracted from his cell and the department confirms three more deputies are being investigated for undisclosed violations. a total of 8 deputies are on administrative leave. >> there is an appearance that there is something wrong with the culture at the santa clara county sheriff's department. >> that's not true, alan. the sheriff's office is effecting these arrests. we are taking care of them today. the sheriff is taking appropriate action to take care of the problems. >> as many as a hundred complaints have been filed against the department since the death of michael tyree. in san jose,abc7 news.

at ucc and brought six guns to the school yesterday. investigators found another seven at his apartment. >> a day after they are trying to process the masacre. >> wayne freed pan talked with people in roseburg about the future they were supposed to play a high school football game against sheldon tonight. it was not to be. no friday night lights. the game canceled after yesterday's masacre nothing to cheer about. >> nobody is cheering. our thoughts are all with the families. >> that has become a uniform refrain in this small city of 22,000 people. it is just large enough to disappear in and just small enough that in times like this people band together. >> it is a horrible thing for no apparent reason. >> work hard and don't want

killed. they all came together to learn they were targeted in a class they shared with the shooter. abc7 news reporter tells us more about them of the katie? >> some just starting out. only four days into college and quinn cooper was 18, funny, sweet and compassionate. his family says they are sat tared beyond repair. shattered beyond repair. rebecca carnes was in her first week of school and all smiles in her facebook photos. the 18-year-old volunteered at wildlife safari and a local animal shelter. lucero alcarez attending community college on scholarships she earned. her sister writes on facebook "i never got the chance to tell you how proud of you i was." the son of a local firefighter. she was an assistant professor of english and then students

starting over. jason johnson recently unrolled at umpqua after completing a rehab program. a cruelness not lost on his cousin. >> it was supposed to be the other way around. everything goes bad when you learn the right thing. you learn what you should have been doing and he never got that chance. >> 44-year-old serena dawn moore of myrtle creek attended high school. she attended school with her daughter who was among the injured. someone posted on-line that she stood in front of a door to block the shooter. all killed in a writing class. yes there is no sentence. words that capture the magnitude of the loss. abc7 news. >> survivors are talking about the self-less actions of this man, the army veteran who

blocked his classroom door and told the gunman you aren't getting by me. the gunman hit his hands, back, stomach and legs. he lay on the ground and he told the gunman it is my son's birthday. his son turned six yesterday. doctors said all of the shots missed his vital organs, but he will have to learn to walk again. a go fund me page raised a half million dollars so far to help him recover. >> if you would like to express your condolences to the shooting victims and their families go to the abc facebook page. it will let people in oregon know you are with them. more help is on the way for people displaced by the valley and boutte fires. governor brown issued an executive order that will speed up the approval process to set up temporary mobile home parks. the governor's order will assist people in mobile homes or rv's on their own property. combined both fires destroyed

1700 homes. san francisco police need help to find a sexual predator who assaulted a boy at a public library. it happened in a restroom at the western edition branch on scott street. the attacker ran off when the boy's mother found out what happened and called for help immediately. take a look at this police sketch. they believe this is the guy a white man 28 to 32 years of age. he stands about 5-8 inches tall. sphee robin williams -- robin williams children and widow settled their battle over his estate. they battle ited over his awards and bicycle collection. both sides also disputed the value of a reserve fund to let susan williams live in the couple's tiberon home. robin williams committed suicide in august of last year. happening now, drivers are at a near stand still on the sky way leading to the bay bridge. take a look. the on coming traffic is barely moving here. it will be that way overnight for the next week. cal trans is doing

and the bay area. this is abc7 news. >> now an eye team follow-up. a san mateo county father is furious after seeing surveillance video of an altercation of his 9-year-old son with autism and a school bus driver. it has been five months since the driver was fired from mistreating the boy, but the school district, the bus company refused to show the video of the incident. after pressure from the eye team they finally played the video for jason santos today. >> as he turn to go back to where he was sitting the bus driver went and grabbed him and bap, bap. >> just like that? >> yeah. she does not have the right. >> well, his son is now in therapy and santos is now pushing the d.a.'s office to reconsider filing criminal charges against the bus

driver. >> tonight more than 1500 bay area children need to be revaccinated after a refrigerator malfunction at a peninsula health office. and they are working to notify parents. here is medically woodrow. >> there is a new refrigerator to store 10 kinds of vaccinations in the health office in san mateo. the old one was running too cold. >> some of the vaccines were frozen intermittently. >> dr. andrew smith says an employee noticed the issue september 21st. an internal investigation showed it dated back to january. >> the individuals that noted the temperatures didn't appreciate the importance of having too cold of a temperature. >> with whooping cough, polio, meningitis and more vaccinations potentially ineffective they are mailing letters to families and urging them to have their children

over the ocean. it was tapping into subtropical moisture. that had moisture to work with. it was moving out. the next system is deprived. it is coming from canada. it is a cold system moving over land and it is not picking up the same kind of moisture. the cold low will bring in the blustery weather for your saturday evening. so do expect it to get cooler, windier and then an isolated shower is possible going foo saturday night and early sunday morning. most of the green showing up is around the monterey bay. can't rule it out in the eastern portion of the viewing area. certainly in the sierra it will go from rain to snow believe it or not above 8500 feet. the low starts to move off to the south and the sun comes out early on sunday and the wind will switch direction and you will notice a difference and feel the difference on sunday. but until then that system is going to kick up the winds. the wind advisory for the north bay mountains saturday at 8:00 p.m. until sunday at

10:00 a.m. gusts 30 to 40 miles an hour could take down drought strength entries and power lines and you will want to be extra careful. it is not just the north bay mountains. you will feel it especially near the coast. saturday afternoon over 35 mile-an-hour winds as we head toward saturday evening. close to 40 miles an hour there. 25 half moon bay. it will make it difficult to drive as well. but then the winds will relax on sunday morning and a mild offshore flow develops with a down sloping wind and it will bring milder weather. tomorrow morning it is not going to be mild. the autumn chill will be in the air. upper 40s to upper 50s. a good morning for a run or walk. we will see patchy clouds out there and then 80 in antioch and 72 oakland and 77 san jose. 78 napa. sunshine in san rafael. 74 degrees and secretary 8 in san francisco. 71 in san mateo and 64 half moon bay. hardly strictly bluegrass festival. mid60s and mild. then it turns windy. so you will need to somehow figure out how to stay warm
