our reporter is along interstate 880 in san leandro with what you need to know. >> kristen, i just got east phone with the c.h.p. who said they are treating this area as "not open," because this is no official word from caltrain. we just drove the lanes and here is what we saw, rolling the video and the signs say this is cheerly a car pool lane and there is a diamond painted in the lane, not so easy to to see as you could specific, some people were alone in the car so could be some confusion at first but c.h.p. said the law is in force and there is no grace period. authorities expect this will shave off some time from the 880 commute. we estimate it will safe everyone five minutes because when people are in the car pool fewer cars for everyone to deal

the most recent from early this morning, about two hours ago i believe. this has been in the san ramon danville area and 232 total in the past seven days and all mostly centered between oh sage park, 680, and crow canyon road and this is view of what is happening there. the area was hit by several earthquakes yesterday including a 3.6 magnitude earthquake at 3:30 but this is not unusual. >> we should be concerned because we do not know when the next large earthquake will happen but we do know that they have not led to a large damaging earthquake. previousers lasted from up to 30 days and we have tips to republic for any disaster including major earthquakes at abc7 news come.

a dozen people if the south bay have been hospitalized after coming down with a serious case of food poisoning. >> officials say they think they know where it started. >> our reporter matt keller has details in san jose. >> we will get an update from the health department later this morning. as of right now, this sign makes it official, mariscos is closed down million further notice. this were 30 reports of people getting sick, half confirmed with shigella and 11 are in intensive care unit. they ate at mariscos in downtown san jose last friday and saturday. the health department is investigating the possibility a worker may have spread the bacteria at mariscos. the centers for disease control said most infolked with shigella citizen diarrhea and fever a day or two after being exposed and it resolves itself in five to 15
