mid-70s from the coast inland. we will go spat upper 60, upper 70s and let 80s by 4:00. our last warm afternoon. an update on the cooling trend, and, also, the chance of rain. >> we start off with a look at the bay bridge toll plaza and the cashpayers in the far right hand lane there is a long line of them, maybe 15 or so, have moved on and you can see more cars that are trickling in and we have a light condition as you make it from the east bay. our emeryville camera to the bay bridge shows that traffic is heading up to treasure island at top speed in the eastbound direction and the drive time traffic, 580, 680, highway 85 in the south bay, moving along just fine. >> breaking news, fire crews are mopping up after a fierce fire at an apartment building, our reporter is live at the scene on sunset avenue, with dozens of people displaceed. >> in the last few minutes we are hearing stories of neighbors

saving neighbors and 30 people were displaced, take a look at the video of the individual average green apartments, burning and caught fire around 2:00 this morning, there are 12 units in the apartment building that burned, and 11 of those are occupied. a woman said she and her cousin were sound asleep when a neighbor who was knocking on the doors woke them up. >> we heard a lot of commotion. my cousin opened the door. they said "fire," and by the time... [ inaudible ] four or file of the top units have suffered from fire damage according to the fire chief on the scene. the units down below have water damage. they say about 30 people have been displaced and some of they

will running from their burning homes with only the clothes on their back. a man went to 7/1 and walked anyone plops for women walking around barefoot. the red cross is helping. the good news is there are no injuries reported. they do not know the cause of the fire and may not figure that until later today or tomorrow. new this morning, the search is on for the driver of a car that slammed through a music store in san francisco before 3:00 this morning. look at damage. this is the union music company on the corner of market and valencia, with a blood trail near the car, the front of the building is damaged along with a light pole. workers are boarding up the front of the store. >> developing news, three employees were stabbed inside a pittsburg grocery store and this is a surveillance video of man in question. police are searching for him.

officials say five workers tried to stop him from stealing razors from winco foods and they say he pulled a knife and stabbed three employees. a witness said that one was stabbed in the behalf, one in the shoulder and the third in the arm. all were taken to the hospital. we are headed to the scene with a report later in the newscast. >> candlelight vigil is held for the 24-year-old who fell unconnection during water polo club practice at the water center. this is video of payroll tax cuts getting to the scene the he was rushed to san jose regional medical center with severe brain damage and taken off life support on saturday. he was scheduled to graduate in the spring the tonight the vigil starts at 6:00 p.m. near the sculpture. >> san jose police are accepting for three burglar -- searching

for three burglars who shot a san jose man. here either details. >> 29-year-old albert love as good fight only he prefers it to be in the ring rather than his home. the former fight are came home during lunch to find two burglars inside. >> a guy was coming out of the house so i said, can i help you. he said surprisingly the suspect tried to go back in and that when the two started to fight. >> this is my house. my family. he approached them in the driveway determined to protect the home he grew up in. one of the suspects shot him in his right shoulder. he did not see the second suspect pull out the gun until it was too late. a third suspect was waiting in a get away car described a blue honda accord. he said they stole valuables but failed to take the heavy safe tipped over the hallway. the family believes the burglars were watch asking break in through the kitchen window when they knew no one was home.

construction. we move over to vallejo, we had an early accident eastbound highway 37 to the westbound 80 connection everything is pushed over to the shoulder. nothing but green. green means go. >> breaking news from solano county a three-alarm fire chased dozens of residents out of their homes much the fire is out now but we are just getting an idea how much dam was last hype. our reporter is at the scene. >> look behind me. firefighters say they are regrouping. the offensive firefight is over. they are about to go back if to do targeted mop-up. look at this video. after 2:00 a.m. these apartments were on fire. there are 12 units inside the building. 11 of the units were occupied. most everyone was asleep. the few people who discovered the fire and woke up took it

a grocery store and officers have scaled back the research but hoping getting the story out will get someone on knows something to come forward. our reporter is outside the winco foods on north park boulevard. >> good morning, kristen, police were called here last night after 8:00 when several employees were stabbed. this happened near the entrance of winco foods in front of people who were shopping for dressries. police are still sending for the suspect. here is the picture. police say that man stabbed three winco foods employees after nearly caught trying to steal razors and employees confronted him and he pulled a knife. >> i saw blood on the floor. someone was laying down on the floor. there was a stab wound on the back. someone else was stabbed in the

shoulder. you can imagine the very scary moms inside of the winco foods and this is a 24 hour winco foods and we have seen the doors open and people going in and out and it is back open for business. police are still searching for the suspect and asking anyone with information to give them a call. >> breaking overnight in contra costra county police are investigating a solo car crash that kid a woman and sent two to the hospital on the pittsburg antioch highway before 11 o'clock, the men's injuries are not life threatening and the intersection expected to be closed throughout the morning commute and leyla will have an update coming up. >> several students at pinole valley high school are suspended after taking xanax on campus and seven students slurred and problem belled yesterday after taking the pills.

hayward and mountain view at 56. high pressure is taking over in the east bay hills. san francisco tops out at 73. east bay at 79. and south bay at 80 and inland east bay at 85 and north bay 82 and still above average. san jose shows it is fairly clear over than the high clouds and the temperature around 54 degrees right now. we are going to have temperatures hanging on possibly in the 80s inland on saturday but 60s and 70s are going to dominate sunday and monday and the rest of my seven-day forecast. we have a slight chance of a shower across the north bay on sunday and a better chance on tuesday and wednesday. leyla? >> we are doing all right but the metering lights are turned on at the bay bridge so we have a ten-minute delay between the macarthur maze into san francisco. all the roads that label are looking pretty empty. as we take you back over to a story we told you a moment ago, a fatal accident overnight and this is going to affect your drive along pittsburg antioch
