abc7 news begins with breaking news. the breaking news is a powerful earthquake rocked a remote part of afghanistan. >> it hit at 2:00 our time. it was near the border with pakistan. people felt it across south asia. the u.s. geological survey said it registered 7.5 magnitude earthquake. the local media report it from 7.7 to 8.1 magnitude earthquake. this is video of damage in pakistan. the death toll now is up to 43.

fresno. police lockdown area around center street near 7th and oakland for six hours while they served a warrant at brown's home they did not fine him there. the livermore shooting happened at the c.v.s. parking lot on 1st street in livermore. officers have not identified the second suspect. police say the two suspects were armed with an assault rifle. >> police are asking people who witnessed a deadly shooting at a party to come forward. police found the 22-year-old man in the backyard of a house early yesterday morning suffering from gunshot wounds. they performed cpr but could not save him and this was the first homicide of the year. >> a woman who suffered serious injuries in a paraglider accident is recovering. we were at the ed the wind launched her prema fewerly and she slammed into the side of a hill breaking her leg cutting her face and injuring her back. tell low paragliders saw the
