san salvador, south bay, pleasanton and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. it is 6:13. japan resumed work to move a united states airbase from the main island to another island. workers were greeted by protesters angry. local residents object to living so close to a united states airbase saying the base creates safe concerns because it is very close to homes and schools. work on the move stopped in august while the japanese government worked with local residents to ease their concerns

. growing trouble for volkswagen with 600 criminal complaints in switzerland of the emissions rigging scandal. the prosecutors have not detailed what the pinnishment could be but in the united states several states have announced investigations and possible criminal charges in the scandal. authorities are investigating who is responsible for building the software to chief the united states emissions. >> if you own a ford, the company has issued three recalls impacting 130,000 vehicles. a recall is for fuel tank issues on 2009 and 2010 ford edge and lincoln vehicles and another for 2013e series vehicles because of trailer brake control issues. a third for ford mustangs. the sports cars have restraint bars that may have been damaged in shipping. owners will be contacted. >> the environmental advocacy group has found that much of the wild salmon sold in restaurants
