francisco's most family-friendly neighborhoods could soon be a home to a medical marijuana dispense re, but some at fisherman's wharf says no way. >> abc7 news anchor is live on taylor street with the story. reggie? >> medical marijuana here. alcatraz fishers there. alcatraz over there. should this store turn into a medical marijuana dispense re? he said absolutely because this section of the city is under served. others have fierce opposition. they say they don't want to see it go to pot. >> 3,000 square feet with prime fisherman's wharf foot traffic is no longer for rent. >> this will be a waiting area for the patient. >> former yogurt shop and now a store and you want to sell what? >> medical cannibus. >> they have drawn up renderings of what the medical pot shop would look like. there is one big problem.

the d.a. are investigating the death of an inmate at the jail in martinez. a deputy sheriff found a man unresponsive in his cell this afternoon. deputies did cpr on the man, but they were unable to save him. >> new, hundreds of uc merced students marched to take back their campus after a stabbing spree. they prayed for the victims and then walked across the landmark bridge where the knife wielding suspect was fatally shot by police. the attacker has been identified as 18-year-old mohamed. all four stabbing victims are expected to survive. a devastating blow. the california fish and wildlife takes emergency action delaying the start of the commercial crab fighting commission. katie is live at santa cruz harbor with new details. katie? >> a quiet night in the harbor

help. dan noyes is here with the exclusive investigation. >> this san jose school district requires training for all drivers who transport special education students. a contractor hired by the district does not. this video shows just how important that training is. >> 14-year-old dominic is facing tough challenges in life. he has a genetic disorder that leads to stunted growth and behavioral problems. but the mother wanted to know why they were acting up in recent months. >> usually i have to get him off the bus. >> steel law finally got hard evidence. dominic pulled out his tablet on the way home from school. he mistakenly started recording and captured three minutes of taunting and threats by his school van driver.

you can't take matters into your own hands. you have to go to the right channels. >> they brought the individual yoy to the transportation director and they promised to investigate. >> the most important thing for us in the transportation department is to ensure ids kids are getting to and from school safe loo. >> they explain the district trains the van and bus drivers in handling special needs students, but they have 35 vehicles for 90 routes. so they contract out with this company. they are a local business and the owner refused an on camera interview. his training consultant said bus drivers receive training for special education students, but the van drivers like the one who taunted dominic don't get the training. that driver has been fired. the school district should provide aides for the vans given the severity of the students' disabilities. . >> the fact they need them at school, rule of them they

probably need that support on the bus too. >> there is case law requiring aides, but no state or federal regulations for them. she adds these kinds of situations are common. we just don't hear about them because many of the students can't communicate well. >> it happens all the time and you just don't see it. >> that's why dominic's video was so important. if he hadn't pressed record on his tablet they may still be in the dark. >> it is not okay. >> san jose police tell me they have an open, active investigation into the matter. they sent it to the family violence unit that oversees the child abuse team. we'll keep you up-to-date on what happens and get back to you. in southern california dramatic video showing firefighters rescuing a woman trapped on the side of a cliff. it happened in newport beach about 4:30. authorities say she tried to help a dog stuck on the cliff. when she got down there she was stuck as well. after a half hour firefighters

you could actually see mixed precipitation, rain and snow on monday. fair weather tomorrow as high pressure is the controlling factor. here is a cold system that is dropping down on sunday. you can see the speckled clouds. that's an indication of cold air. unlike the last system it will be colder air coming in on monday and that's what will set off the possibility of thunderstorms. saturday night cloud cover. here is a time line for the sunday plans. 4:00 a.m. and it shifts across the central bay and the south bay. 11:00 a.m. it is primarily in the south bay. and then you get a long break. it is mainly afternoon and evening where you may see peeks of blue. the second half of the system will come in with the cold air and that's what can set off the thunderstorms. monday morning is looking sloppy. it is still wet and at noontime you will notice still scattered showers into the early afternoon.
